Came back to obsess over this some more lmao, I love noticing new details every time like his brain being split evenly green and yellow at the beginning, then beginning to swirl and flip with hints of pink (Eleven/girls) while he falls, switching from his brain being overtaken by either his own thoughts/anxiety/selfishness or being consumed by thoughts of Will (yellow). At the end when he hangs up, green slowly overtakes the screen again, either indicating he feels alone or that he’s accepted the way he feels (since Mike is usually blue-coded) with only brief bursts of other colors at the end

This part 0:15 got me feeling some type of way tho. This was such a beautiful animation!
