But it is reasonable to think the Eagles might have thought twice about running the Foles-eligible TD play had NE secondary been at full strength. It goes beyond just taking out the guy who’d played 97% of starts - it was that it was not only unexplained but inexplicable, that it was disruptive to the defense and the entire team, that the defense was clearly not up to the task of containing a backup journeyman QB without him.
