BOYS.. I'd like to clarify this game DID come out before doors, and inspired doors. I did not realize that when i recorded this, so i am sorry if i came off a little harsh with the jokes about it being a "bad" version of doors. I shoulda looked a bit more into it (or simply read the description of doors) before jumping the gun. never meant to give off the impression this was a cheap remake of doors. big goofed this time, my apologies.

Fun fact, as everyone else is ALSO stating, rooms was a big part in the inspiration for doors. I will state this, just like everyone else, but it even says in the description of doors, that rooms was a big part in this.

When I first played Doors, it felt oddly familiar. Then I remembered about Rooms, so I checked Doors' description and found out it was inspired by Rooms. I was really surprised that someone made a game inspired by Rooms, and made it so polished and well-made.

the reason i find rooms scarier because how simple it is and how liminal it feels. In doors there are some lights and some lightning that makes it more comfortable. And the worst part is for rooms. You have to be quiet in order to hear the monsters coming.

the production value of doors makes it less scary, the slow realisation that every room is darker and you will eventually need to use an already limited flashlight, along with the fact that there arent many signals to hide, makes it A LOT scarier.

If I had to be honest, I find Rooms way scarier than Doors. With Doors it's more aspects of getting used to the signals, and knowing what to hear for. Not saying that it can't be scary, got me my first run. Lol. But there's something worrying about how empty, but occupied the areas in Rooms are. It's like, "What happened here?"

I had played it before, as you progress through the rooms, (around 1000, or infinite) it progressively get darker. when you reach certain points in the game, monsters start appearing. this is what the lockers are for, you hear little sound cues as it progressively gets closer. batteries can be found through the rooms, to recharge your flashlight when you die, it marks a highscore for the amount of doors you passed.

Finally! Someone payed some attention to "Rooms". I played this game long before "Doors" released, and when the it got darker, I got really scared. Suddenly I heard something, but by the time I did it was already too late.

I feel like rooms is scarier because you know when doors entities are coming after awhile but a-400 is completely unexpected and a-50 is horrifying if you get a screen show or a picture of him, but glitch is pretty scary to it reminds me of a-400

Tip when playing in a big server: Stay in a room that is lower than A-50 (ex: A-49) and wait until the entity arrives while you're inside a locker, so you have a higher chance at surviving than being in a room with 3+ people

Believe it or not, since the recording of this video; there is ACTUALLY now a _"Rooms_ Easter-egg" (sort-of minigame) in the actual _Doors_ game. They just added it recently during the Hotel+ update. I'll give you a hint on how to access it... Talk to El Goblino by Jeff's shop. He may tell you there is "something strange going" on in Room 60 (AKA Door 60). The rest you'll have to figure it out; but it'll be worth it!

Doors isn't really scary to me (even tho I get terrified of Timothy somehow) but even though rooms is old and not as polished, it's wayy scarier. Even in doors when your walking, the steps are normal and easy to forget about, but in rooms the steps are slowed and very loud and echo-y which i find creepy- and how each rooms gets increasingly dark with a limited flash light is all the more unsettling- just the sound of the doors opening is creepy. (also kinda random but the rooms game they added in doors is scarier than doors aswell, even tho you have an infinite flashlight its still creepy but that's just imo)

Ah good old 2020 memories, i found this game and asked my friend if we could play this together. We played on december then stopped at 2021, there was barley any gameplay at all and that made me sad, luckily its getting recognized now at least! (i might send this to her later on but she’ll probs wont remember, i hope not)

I loved playing rooms, it was the game i would always play with my friends but I lost it.... I'm glad I found the game again its like the funner version of doors because when you die with other players or by yourself, you become a ghost that people can know ur there if you try to make. Sound by something. Ghosts can't communicate with eachother but you can dance.

me and my friend Lciel have been playing this wayyyy before doors came out and for us to see this, it brings a tear to our eyes.

This game is way scarier than doors because its harder to know when an entity comes, every room is dark after a while and since there isn't 100 monsters that appear every 5 rooms it makes you feel under constant pressure, isolated, and make u hear things so you hide when there is nothing.

rooms and doors are unique. the reason i like doors more however is that there's much more monsters. but rooms is scarier I've heard. but doors might win content wise, as theirs going to be chapters that continuously add new monsters and new areas to explore. but rooms is the og doors so I will give it credit for that even though I haven't played it.

Guide: A-60: hide once you hear this, it's very, VERY fast. Stay in the closet because it stops at the door for 7 secs. A-200 a "bang" sound will be heard, a sign of it spawning, get in the closet and wait for it to despawn. As of now, the bang is removed, but the creepy coincidence of your ping rising to 200+ is also an indicator.

Doors now have made an update where if you reach door 60 there is a secret entrance somewhere in the room where you need to use 2 lock picks and a skeleton key to enter an updated version of Rooms along with achievements and the same death concept as Doors and all your items get transfered over feom Doors

The monster is called A-60, its spawns when you get past door A-60. A-200 is another monster but he comes much faster, and he spawns when you get past door A-200. And also, A-209 spawns 3 rooms infront of room A-200 and A-60 spawns all the way at door A-001

i played this game before with my friends. it was so fun.

It was not off brand Rush. It was A-60. He was the first entity to be ever made, and ROOMS, gave birth to DOORS after 2 years of release of ROOMS. And still, A-60 is still hiding in ROOMS. While for the entities we always see, will be lurking in DOORS.
