The fact his decepticon badge flips around for vehicle mode is such a goofy but really fun touch.

The unique interactions Megatron has with Optimus is incredible. What an amazing anniversary year.

the missile firing function is very impressive, it clearly has enough power to represent the killing force needed to shoot a deer from a distance

He has a voice line for Lazerbeak and Soundwave so that pretty much tells you a Soundwave is coming. That and his G1 transformation can be pulled off in this “auto converting” style

I feel like they should have saved “flagship” for Ultra Magnus. Probably a simplified Optimus, with the trailer being a wholey new construction. Also, Megs looks perfect. And the abundance of Soundwave references makes me very excited that he might be next!

Like I know it couldn’t transform into a gun because of gun laws but I’m always imagining your getting mugged and you have robo seen megatron on you and you tell it to transform into a gun so you and the mugger are just waiting for it to transform and then you shoot the mugger, I don’t know why but that’s just funny to me

I'm glad the various youtubers are here to show off the stuff these robosen things can do, because… I mean… I can't really imagining them being much fun once the immediate thrill wears off. Do they even have an open API so they can be programmed in something sensible like Python or C# or whatever? I just feel like this would be my absolutely most expensive paperweight. My regular bots I at least take out and transform once in a while. That said: I'd absolutely love this one but in the deco of IDW's Megatron of Tarn, ie the pre-tyrant radicalized worker who wrote revolutionary treatises. Imagine this thing shouting about workers rights =)

This is the best Robosen Transformer yet, but unfortunately the Lithium Ion batteries are still not replaceable, which means that this very expensive figure will transform into a very expensive paperweight in a couple of years 😕

would be worth it if it can actually walk around the house with a remote controller. but only in tank mode. I'd wait for the newer versions of this. There will be competition.

I wish Frank Welker used more _Prime_ voice for this Megatron, because his _Generation 1_ take on him wasn't particularly impressive than and is even less now when Frank is 40 years older. Still it's a dicisively minor aspect of a technical marvel that is this thing!
