Rocky start to my VW CORRADO VR6 season

3 days full of love and frustration to kickstart this season with my beloved Corrado VR6. But hey, this is the life of owning an oldschool car. 7 years and counting.
Hit your thoughts about what should I look next in the comments. I'm gonna do a little diagnosing with the computer.

I would also check al the ground wires and see if they are clean and make good contact. Fresh fuel does sometime also help.

Couple of other ideas - check wired at the round multi plug behind where the coil pack is (lots of wires/main engine harness) Fuel pump failing? Hard to test though, need a 4 bar pump for a Corrado. Not the same as mk3 vr6 which is 3 bar. MAF sensor can also give similar symptoms. Have you got a code reader for codes? And obd2 reader will give a basic read out.

Big thanks for ideas! Yeah, I was surprised that so many wires so near the hot engine block, will look closer. I'm gonna search out computer and see if/what fault codes it gives. From that I can move on. Thanks again! :)

Good video Keidi. Love seeing your Corrado back on the road. They are a neverending love-hate relationship. Ask me how I know 😂 I hope you will figure out your issue and make more videos of the car. My 94 vr6 also has bad idle at startup, I need to clean the ISV and go from there. Päikest!

liking the Corrado VR6 and Golf content and how to's. I have a VR6 Corrado myself. what tool did you use to remove the spark plug leads

Thank you! The tool is actually called spark plug wire removal tool, if you google, then the one with a blue head is OEM. Simple tool, not the cheapest, but so useful.

Nice sounding engine, shite car. Had one for 13 years and the build quality was awful. Fuel economy for the power was awful. Your problem looks like the idle control valve.
