For the restoration of this old cookie machine I had to powder coat it, work on the lathe, grind, cut, bend, mill, sandblast, fill and some more. Some parts I had to make new or buy as they were no longer available. Other parts I had to derust, machine and recoat with paint. I also cleaned the parts, polished them, and gave them a nickel plating or bluing to protect them from future environmental exposure. After restoring the antique cookie machine, I was able to test it out and eat some very tasty cookies.
This video is not only to quickly show someone how something works, but also to relax and get away from it all! Relax while watching the video and enjoy what you see and hear. I recommend you put on headphones and listen carefully at certain points (I've highlighted them), as there are often very strange sounds there.... Enjoy!

▶ What did I do ?! ◀
The first step is to disassemble the antique cookie machine, which was easily done with a few screws and a screwdriver. Then the old paint and rust must be removed with sandblasting, the surface must be filled and sanded and the parts must be powder coated. I machined the gears, the rollers for the cookies and the screws on the lathe, sandpapering the surface (with different grits). The springs, which are installed between the rollers, I blasted and painted with cold burnishing. The handwheel I bought new, to be able to mount it I only had to adjust the shaft on the lower roller. The two boards to pull the dough and to dress the formed cookies, I had to make new. I cut the boards to size, routed chamfers and cut a groove. Now all that was left was to assemble all the restored parts, mix the dough, and fire up the oven to get delicious cookies out of the old cookie machine. Bon appetit!
