One of my favourite small details is the fact that all the guests have different weights that actually affect your roller coasters. A train full of chonky bois will go faster than one full of smol bois, and that subtly changes the stats of the ride throughout the game and can even make it crash due to the slight difference in speed if you're not careful.

Oh ffs, so THATS why 42 people just died on my new hyper coaster I poured so much money into and tanked my park rating. I’ve been playing this game for going on 20 years and I never understood why a coaster would sometimes not clear a hill it did in testing

RCT is the best sim game ever made simply because it was written in assembly and allowed players to mod the game after Chris Sawyer left. Games that are simple to understand and then expand into literal labyrinthian levels of complexity when you really dig are some of the best for longevity. Diablo 2 Brood War Melee RCT Or you have such a dedicated fanbase they keep the game going long after it’s been forgotten by it’s developers with mods. RCT has both.
