Hi, May i know why did the odom not exist despite i followed ur steps in rivz? I planned to use robosense lidar-16 to create a 3D mapping. thank you for helping

is there a way to increase the update time of the real time mapping? it was really slow when i did it and then i tweaked the resolution values in the octomap_mapping.launch file along with the upper and lower values of the clamping update policy but it doesnt seem to work. Plz help!

Thank you so much for your video. Following your tutorial, I have created an octomap with point cloud2. However, the PR2 robot arm doesn't consider the octomap as collision object when it was doing motion planning. Do you know the why?

I did the exact same steps as you did, but my robot is not rotating at all on rviz. Its only looking in one way while the robot is rotating

Very nice video. But when I follow your step in my turtlebot, it seems the octomap_mapping does not have any ros message in its published topic. And the rviz cannot visualize the pointcloud. I am using laser_geometry to convert the laser scan data into point cloud, is that the reason for this error?

it says ERROR: cannot launch node of type [octomap_server/octomap_server_node]: Cannot locate node of type [octomap_server_node] in package [octomap_server]. Make sure file exists in package path and permission is set to executable (chmod +x)
