I honestly think Penn State is underrated. Definitely a top 5 team.

For some reason I like the rose bowl better than the other bowl games.Its like the mother of all bowl games and its been around since 1902.Definitely the oldest of all bowls.Them classic pac-12 teams vs big ten teams.A couple of times the Rose Bowl games have produced national champions on football like when Michigan beat Washington St in the 1997 season and when Texas beat Southern California in 2005 season for Texas's national championship win.Cant wait til next year's Rose Bowl in 2024 because I will more likely be there and I don't care who plays just as long as I'm there live. 👍.

Michigan and Ohio State both Playoff teams that lost close wild games. Ohio State should have won and played well.. Michigan laid an egg. Penn State took care of business. I'm NOT Penn State - but I root for them! I'm a Pitt grad, lived in W-Pa, father in law a PSUgrad, but not into sports. Moved to Altoona in the 90s, Altoona comm theatre - wonderful friends!!! At a stop light one morning, I pulled alongside a pickup, big chrome bumpers and little sticker stating: God is a Penn State fan, as the sky is Blue & White. An elderly couple in the truck, and I got her to roll down the window where I told her I noticed the msg on their bumper. We both were smiling, then I said, But really, God's a Pitt Panther fan, as on a bright, sunny day the skies are Blue & Gold -- and the look this sweet gramma gave me, you know the saying: Looks could KILL - her smile was gone, replaced by a nasty skowel, and it felt like rigor-mortis was setting in on my left side!!! And I said to myself, Well, looks like they take their football seriously here in Happy Valley!! I became PSU fan, esp after they joined the Big 10, and Pitt was no longer in their schedule. This was a GREAT victory for Penn State, esp the Coach!! The Rose Bowl IS the Gran-Daddy of the Bowl games, and I'm so happy for the Blue&White!

I am on some PSU facebook chat sites. Many of the alum have slagged Clifford and Franklin mercilessly the past 2 years. I always showed support in my posts. This is a LONG game. Clifford got real redemption yesterday, and at the end of his career. PSU will, IMO, be top three in August polls, and will deserve that potential going into next season...

Was a pretty competitive game until Rising went down. Wondering if he finished off his ACL. Will never understand how Utah's FS #11 wasn't benched after giving up his 3rd, game-changing, big play and 2nd TD. He just looked lost all game. I guess there's a reason he didn't see the field until his senior year.

Utah is a tough, physical team, but Penn State had more talent and depth. Losing Rising was the killer blow.

Utah was doing a lot of chirping pregame, certain they would defeat the 3rd best team from the Big Ten.

That Aussie kid was probably like "ya mean I don't have to bounce the ball as I run? Crikey!" You have to dribble the ball in Australian Football every 50 feet or place it on the ground for 1 second with both Hands not moving.

Compared to most quarterbacks on TV this week Rising was not impressive, but he played very smart up until he decided to risk a gang tackle rather than slide for an easy first down. Utah front beat Penn States both ways in the first half which as a PSU fan surprised me. PSU offense played an uncharacteristic mistake free game. Add Utah giving up the big plays and an inferior back up, the results weren't surprising.
