Have been putting this on loop since it came out. The music itself is got a healing factor of its own. Now the music video is also a phenomenal depiction of mental health. The water started slowly dripping, slowly making everything cold and wet. The first to notice is the wife (or close family members). Then immediately the boss/manager at his job staring him in a distance with confusion and disappointment. The family members quickly grown worry, got angry, as they don’t understand “what the hell is going on with him.” But they do see the situation and his state getting worse and worse by the minute. The car is flooded half way and our guy is activity panicking in sadness and desperation. Now this catches the attention of many people, and they started showing concerns and “lending help.” However, they are only tapping the surface and the effects are non-existent. Now once the water at the neck untill completely made him submerged there is a couple bystanders that really caught my eye. First is the teens and others that didn’t help but choose to take videos and pictures. (Very much is a real situation at a lot of the times.) Then there is the tough guy that tries to saw the door but leaves little to no dent. (Perfect embodiment of fixing mental issues with hammer and brute force. Which does little to nothing for how good and righteous it looks.) The African man in the back of the crowd with water dripping from him also caught my eye, as he is presumably suffering from the same thing. His own watery prison that he carries everywhere he goes just like our guy in the car. However, he could only watch from afar and couldn’t help others in the same situation. Even though he understands the same feeling way too well. Then there is the little girl eating the ice cream *smiling.* This is the most impressive depiction by far, as this one perfectly represented the people that seeks joy in the suffering of others. Notice the more our guy is dying the more the girl is smiling wide and savoring on the pain and demise of others. Other bystanders are great too like the priest that is praying etc. The depiction of our guy is accurate as well. As he has to hold his breath underwater in the dreaded swamp and slowly fades away into death. The color also shifts from blue to gold, as the deeper he sink the more reality is distorted and all that is remains is a sliver of hope for him. At the end, all it takes was one person that could understand to calmly open the door and let the water out. Once the water is out everyone just scattered and left. Alternatively, a darker interpretation could be that our guy did not survive this, as he is nowhere to be seen after the door has been opened. And given how formally the girl dressed, she very well could be funeral services. Which could also explain why everyone left so confused and disappointed. (Like welp…we lost another one to this thing…time to move on…) And the car/the prison is ready for another victim. Alright, this is all just my personal interpretation of this magnificent piece of art, and I’m really in a writing mood today. My future dreams and aspires are also tied to freeing others from this prison and battling the swamp has always been my life long passion. Thanks for reading. Have a nice day and stay positive. :)

They have signature even their clips. Cast, camera angles, story... Can't say anything for the song. It's just perfect and I have been listen a hundred times for one day. I feel Royal Blood's energy in every single song and adopt it.

The most I’ve ever been excited for a new Royal Blood song!

This song makes a lot of sense in my personal case and my family instead, my father had some mental issues, we tried our best for help him, business was going bad but still earning quite enough money for live, not problems at all, just stay fine and live, but wasn't enough for him, so he's mental state was out of control, became even worse on 2021, I leave my studies and my girlfriend in China for him, but things were keep going wrong, we tried very hard to make him go for professional help, but he can manipulate really well, then on April of that year he asked me for a rope, obviously I didn't gave him, but then he went to the bassement, few moments later my mum arrived home and she went downstairs, and then I listen her screaming and calling me, I cannot believe he did something but deep I knew what was going on, so yes, he hang himself in the bassement of our home, I was shooked and I was already in a deep depression for breaking up with my girlfriend the year before, the song I used to listen everyday was Limbo also from Royal Blood. Recently I showed this song and video to my mum when it came out and she said that is like seen my father in that moments, she doesn't speak english but she find it translated in our language. Nowadays we just keep going, we cannot do anything else. So if you are reading this and you are in my father's situation, just know that you are not alone, you have people who loves you, find help and don't let your mind end you, you know you are strong enough and this is life, sucks, isn't easy, but we are here and we are the ones that can make it amazing or a nightmare, try always to chose the first option. I’ve been in the legendary moment

So damn underrated

To me, the key word in this clip is ANXIETY. In my interpretation, the man is leaving home to go to work (he's wearing a suit), perhaps on a Monday morning, and starts having a crisis. The wife sees he’s still in the car and says something, maybe ask him to buy something on the way back (her cup is empty, maybe coffee has run out). She's calm, but when he looks away and returns she's suddenly yelling at him. I think this is his perception, not that she is really screaming, she asked for something simple and he exaggerates and feels anguish and sees her like that because he also feels suffocated at home. At that moment he freezes because he doesn't want to go to work and also doesn't want to go home, he feels like he won't be able to fulfill his obligations in either place, so the water starts to rise, representing anxiety, enveloping and suffocating him as he sinks. The way people are around the car is perhaps his perception too, a bit of paranoia, he feels like the whole world is watching and judging him all the time. About the huge guy, I may be wrong, but for me he represents gluttony. Many anxious people use food as an escape valve, as a solution. He arrives all imposing, as if he were going to solve the whole problem, but in the end he doesn't solve anything and, on top of that, damages the car (as well as excessive food doesn't solve anything and “damages” our body). In the end, “salvation” comes from someone who goes through the same problems, perhaps a co-worker, and people leave not understanding, because only those who go through it can understand. The final scene looks like a waiting room, perhaps a psychiatrist, the clock shows 5:10, right after the office hour, everyone is in suits, that is, office workers. The clip is very reminiscent of “Just” by Radiohead and “God Put a Smile Upon Your Face” by Coldplay. PS: I’ve recorded a cover of this song, go check my channel if you want.
