I remember when I first saw this, I thought it was scary, and thought the characters were from a horror game. Now, I think they are all super cute and amazing and I really want to hug all of them and take care of them. Funny how context changes one’s perspective.

I like the text that apears at the start, the knight is not working because is just the shadow, Hornet is unavailable because se is trapped, quirrel is not found because we don't know what happened to him and the hollow knight is corrupted because the infection is getting out of him. That attention to detail is amazing

One interesting detail is how the error messages for Ghost and Pure Vessel refer to them as exe files, because they were made to contain the Radiance.

Ghost: a balanced character with well rounded stats,doesn't really excel at anything but is very versatile Hornet: very mobile,lower damage but a decent amount of health,her needle also has very good range Vessel: slower than most but dishes out nuke level damage,very good for tanking and trading damage Quirrel: a glass cannon,high mobility and incredibly high damage but very low health and low defense Zote: only does 1 hit point of damage per attack,top speed is walk speed for other characters,face plants every time he jumps,has virtually no defense but has the health of a fortress made of industrial grade steel HERE COMES SOME NEW CHALLENGERS Lost kin: high damage,decent health and mobility but is purely a close range fighter,has lots of rush down moves and is good for an agressive berserker style of play Grimm: few melee options,but is very mobile,health is on the lower side but his long ranged spells make up for that,also has alot of area of effect moves Ogrum: avarge mobility and damage,lots of health and many useful midranged moves Hegemol: highest defense out of all the characters,high damage and decent health but is incredibly slow and takes quite awhile to charge attacks,but when they hit they hit like a bus Zemer: a healer character,she can heal herself aswell as others,she has average stats and her large nail does decent damage Oro: decent mobility,high damage and defense but is purely melee,another good character for an agressive playstyle Lace: low defense and health,but is very agile and has average damage Carmelita: high mobility,lower damage but can command her ants to attack and deal damage overtime Wyrm (Pale King): doesn't actually fight himself,but instead summons wingsmoulds and kingsmoulds to fight for him,well rounded stats with average health and mobility (Thanks to shadowcups for some of these ideas)

I remember watching this before playing hollow knight and I was like 'this seems like a really interesting game' and I played it after that. Like a lot(I finished it 100% on steam but I'm STILL playing it actually hahah) Now watching this again and understanding everything feels so nice. Also HK is my fave game now and I'm so excited for HK Silksong!

I just love it how we have the pure vessel, ghost and hornet being badass... Then we get zote. Also in the beginning, I love it how it shows a character select screen with the four most popular characters.

I find it odd that in the “dead” versions of the select screen, that hornet is the only character that isn’t immediately referred to as a file, and is simply unavailable. This implies in my mind that hornet is the only real person.
