Near week ago Russian MFA sent to countries materials of several hundreds cases (involved over 20 thousand people) by which Russia consider situation of last 8 years (after coup of 2014 when current regime seized power in Ukraine) as genocide. I guess, in US media there are no at all any information about this, right? In that materials cases for tribunal, videos and photos. P.S. @@juliap.5375 , I cannot thank you enough for your willingness to engage us regarding what we need to know. You are correct when you state that our media does report any of it, and many of my fellow Americans are oblivious to the reality and the extent of the corruption, inversion, and hypocrisy of our leaders and our state media. They do not even know the media has been under state control since 2013, and has been consolidated under 6 corporations beginning in 1996. They have no idea what significance Ukraine has to the people in power in America today, especially *President* Biden's family, or that they are the same people who were in power in 2014 and involved in Euro Maidan. They cannot get past hating President Trump, and only support the current regime out of spite for him, and so they defend the people who bleed us all dry as I type this. It is madness. @stevel7310
@stevel7310 2 роки тому
@@VesperAegis Firstly a military excercise had been planned for over a year. The world knew about it. Such excercises are as realistic as possible otherwise there is no point to them. Secondly, Russia can move it's own military around it's own territory whenever and wherever it likes. All other nations do this. As to 'why now' and why Russia is involved, he has explained this very clearly in the video and it is the same explaination that he has repeated since, when, 2007? It could not be more clear to anyone. The leader of a nation has an enormous responsibility. If another nation stations it's missiles near your border and you don't know whether they have conventional or nuclear payloads, you then have a possibly world changing decision to make if those weapons are launched at you. You have a handful of minutes to decide what to do. If you retaliate in the wrong way you will either bring an end to entire nations forever or you could allow an end to your own nation. It's very serious. And when the nation who owns those missiles on your border has a history of never ending unjustifiable war all around the world, has military bases in 80 countries and is the only country to use nuclear weapons against civilian populations ... twice. Then you have a very significant threat on you doorstep. When the USA and UK actually invade and destroy other countries, murdering countless millions of innocent men women and children, it is called peace, freedom and democracy. When Russia moves it's military within it's own country and doesn't actually invade anyone else it is called aggression. If that isn't the epitome of psychotic delusional insanity then I don't know what is.

In short: Russia and Ukraine historically were one Slavic nation from centuries ago. Russia actually formed what we know as Ukrain today. Certain Russian areas were given to Ukrain at the time (that's less than 100 years ago). When USSR fell, there was a massive international debt. But instead of sharing it with former USSR States, Russia took whole responsibility for paying it off. And finally cleared it in 2017. However, there was a treaty signed with Ukrain about return of former Russian assets (read: land). Then ever since 1991 Ukrain was asking for economical support, and Russia provided, amounting to $250 billion over the years. However, Ukraine never followed up on their part of agreement, and furthermore country has seen increase in anti-Russian narrative.. when political mess started in 2013-2014 Western nations were openly funding pro-nationalist politicians in Ukraine. Putin then explains how Ukrainian economics suffered through the years ever since 1991 and expresses his concern for the people of Ukrain. He hints that the people of Ukrain have not seen much from financial support, as the money resides in international accounts of their leaders. He then gives very detailed data showing how difficult life has become for Ukrainians, increase in utility bills, mass job losses, and people "exodus" to other countries just to get some job and provide for living.. due to closure of factories and industries in Ukrain.. That's first 35 mins of the video so far.

Do you think that saying things such as “interference will lead to consequences the world has never seen” isn’t bizarre? This is exactly the worst possible things someone could say under these circumstances. This has happened so many times in history. It always starts under these circumstances and other nations doing everything they can to avoid war until eventually there’s no more course of action until boom the world is at war. In fact, knowing a little Russian myself and knowing how diverse language can be, I'd say this verbal translation was lacking. Not enough that I'd complain about it. But if you speak multiple languages (especially ones that are very unrelated) you'll immediately understand just in the early days of learning, that translating things is not nearly as simple as one might think. Not everything has a direct or immediately apparent translation into a foreign language. Many languages have pretty unique expressions which can be hard to translate literally in a way that would make sense. But I digress. I would say this is just a testament to whoever is translating this live. It's really not as easy as many of you might think.

I think all people should do this. Especially on things they are genuinely interested in. All media out there has a narrative. Even if they don't mean it. Even the most independent media or vloggers you can find. They are either payed to express a position, or they are simply a bleeding heart for that position. But there is no changing that. Everyone has opinions. Many people have facts to add to the equation while conveniently leaving other facts out. So I think it's best to always look at all sides. Especially on issues as serious as this. In cases like this, ignorance is humanities worst enemy.

There is at least some value in understanding whatever narrative they are trying to present. Again, at least in situations that you are particularly interested in. I'll read Chinese state medias and RT articles if they are about things I'm very interested in. Of course they are state run media and just blatant propaganda. But I find value in understanding that POV. After all, I don't hate countries. I only hate certain governments.

@CheckUnderYou
@CheckUnderYou 2 роки тому
Be mindful, my summary here is simply a summation of what Putin said in the video, and there is a lot had had to leave out--because UKposts. The area known as Ukraine has always been historically Russian. The Ukraine we think of it today was setup long ago as something like a city state within Russia by Lenin during WW1. Then as the USSR was collapsing they needed to trim the fat so to speak they let Ukraine be independent so no more people needed to suffer than necessary, with the idea that one day once things got better they would be readmitted. Well, time passed and the Soviet Union fell and Ukraine was worried it would be left out in the cold, but it wasn't. From 1991 to 2013 Russia gave 250 billion dollars to them to make sure they were no hard feelings and to make sure things there could keep running smoothly. Turns out though all the money was stolen by Western foreign interests and Ukraine itself is pushed by these same powers to be more nationalistic and russophobic, all the while suffering countless economic issues by these same powers. These same Western countries, NGO's, and big banks put on a 30 year propaganda campaign in order to do two things, make Ukraine forget its past and have them eternally scared of Russia. This is a problem because a large portion of eastern Ukraine (the main part in question here) is mostly made up of actual Russian people there before the break up in 91'. Supression of these people got even worse when Ukraine made it illegal to speak Russian within the country. This made no sense to him, because to reject EVERYTHING Russian would be to reject the very existence of the Ukranian nation state. But then where would it go? That brings me to the next problem: the NATO issue. With Western international finance completely crippling Ukraine from the inside out, they inevitably would have not have much of a military of their own. Now, what should have happened in this case is a Rus/Ukr sitdown where Russia hears what's going on and can offer aid where it can. Sadly 30 years of propaganda scared it away from doing so, and instead Western-back West Ukraine used all of its foreign money to pay terrorists and neo nazi groups to wreak havoc on the more properly Russian East Ukraine. They did this in hopes of calling aid from NATO and other western powers to, apparently, free them from the thumb of Putin? Putin was confused by this because it was foreign finance that crippled the country, attacked it's people, it's monuments, as well as it's churches. Not Russia. Nevertheless less Ukraine never needed to call for help from NATO because--the EU and US quietly snuck troops into Ukraine already and cleared out air space for what was to come. This has a number of problems, not least of them being that this is flagrant act of aggression against Russia, but I digress. First is the international rule that no use of NATO can happen on a country that borders Russia. The West lied. Second is that even if Ukraine was a part of NATO (and it isn't) NATO can not be used in lieu of a standing army. The West broke it's promise again. Putin is particularly pissed about this because the West promised not to try and creep in any further NATO nations over previous Soviet soil, nevertheless it happened numerous times over since the USSR's collapse. Once again, the West never kept it's promise. The last thing was Ukraine still has access to much of the Soviet era nuclear equipment. Now, it may not be working, but Putin suggests with all of the money and brain power it's receiving from foreign interests, he has evidence the former soviet state is planning to reupdated much of the old equipment and that it's only a matter of time before a desperate, scared, and impoverished Ukraine does something even more unthinkable to its own people. The issue we are facing now is Western-backed West Ukraine is using foreign money and forces to devastate Russian-majority East Ukraine. In the meantime the two small provinces on that side of the country were tired of the abuse. They asked to succeed from Ukraine, but were denied. As a result they asked for Mother Russia's assistance, and she obliged. This speech was to make clear that Putin, as well as the rest of Russia, recognizes these two provinces as two new nation states and that it will do it's best to protect ALL of Russia's people (from both East and West Ukraine) while it pushes out the foreign invaders and corrupt leaders that have destroyed a once beautiful country and restore proper rule to the area once again. As a note: you may ask yourself "Why would the West do such a thing?" Putin remarked at least twice in this speech he thinks the long rivalry between the US and Russia has gone on so long and has gotten so bad that the West simply wishes Russia completely destroyed, or at the very least broken up and controllable.

I'll show you decomunisation (meaning he plans to annex all of Ukraine and return it to the status before the communists took power in 1917). Putin is opening a can of worms that Europeans promised never to open again. His reasoning isn't exactly wrong. Ukraine has historically been part of Russia for a long time. But this kind of reasoning gives every European country a casus belli on every other. Germany can claim Kaliningrad and the Alsace (maybe even Austria). Poland can claim parts of Ukraine and Belarus. Finland parts of Russia. Hungary parts of Romania. Romania all of Moldova. On and on. This kind of reasoning brings about hatred and war.

This started in 2014 during the Maidan and the unconstitutional coup. And not everyone in Ukraine agreed with that. Crimeans didn't agree. Donbass didn't agree. And then Turchinov (illegally appointed as acting president, while he had no right to be there according to Ukrainian constitution)sent tanks to Donbass to suppresses people's dissatisfaction with the results of Maidan, and decalred "anti-terrorist operation". Ukraine signed the Minsk accords in 2015, but never had intention of carrying them out, always coming with excuses and lies that "Russia is the one who should carry them out". Russia is not even a part that is mentioned in the Minsk accords! If you ask them, which of the 13 paragraphs should Russia carry out, they will not answer, because Russia doesn't have the responsibility to carry it out, Ukraine and LDNR do. What's happening now is Russia's reaction after 8 years of patience. During those 8 years Ukraine was shelling Donbass, and the so called "international community" looked the other way. Cause and effect. And so what that Germany would want Köningsberg back. I bet Russia and Germany can work something out, and in return Germany will certify Nord Stream 2, and recognize various regions as Russian! The possibilities are endless! And I think Poland, Hungary, Romania should take back their rightful historical lands. The USSR was an evil empire, that thankfully collapsed like a house of cards. Russians, and Orthodox Christians were the main victims of the bolsheviks. Russian people have the right for historical justice.

Separitist movements are common - for example, the Basque and Catalonian regions in Spain. The question is: is the Nation and its laws right? Or the People right? This is difficult but the People seems to be the answer. In Crimea, the People triumphed (especially as Crimea was Russian previously, since the 1880's). Invasion of Ukraine would be a different story. The People of Ukraine do not want to join Russia. Looking forward, war must be avoided at all costs. Yes, historically, the two Peoples were great allies. But Stand Back, President Putin. However, if war criminals America & England start appplying sanctions (an act of war) and moving more troops and war furniture into Easter Europe, then all hell might break loose. Stand Back, America. The news is what's most criminal, the way they create narrative... going forward, the only way to peace is the right narrative. President Volodymyr Zelensky recently said that "the world security architecture is fragile. It needs renewal. The rules that the world agreed on 10 years ago do not apply any longer.” I do not know what he intends, but integrity's answer is clear: a security architecture, to be real, must be indivisible, and must be free of the ideology of U.S./ NATO (committed to the narrative of the demonization of 'enemies', and thus division and war) and must therefore turn to inclusion and not exclusion of all parties (Russia, Belarus with all Europe). The U.S./ NATO is based on the American war- making mentality of 'setting one against the other'. There can be no security as long as this ideology prevails: on the contrary, it guarantees insecurity, conflict, war. Thank you for standing against war. Inclusion is the only answer.

The monkey brain part of us that loves to destroy runs very deep to a degree that most people are okay with doing things that end up killing them or others around them no matter the context of that choice. Who knows if we’d even be human if we became a species that was entirely peaceful?
