Russian media "doesn't have anything they can spin to make this sound anything other than bad."
Even on Russian state TV, there is something "close to panic," Justin Bronk tells Anna Cunningham.

This all comes down to one brave act. Every western country was telling Zelensky that Russia would take Kyiv in a couple days and that he would be killed. They told him to leave the country. " I don't need a ride, I need weapons" should go down in history along side of the greatest wartime quotes of all time. If he had fled, Ukrainian morale would have been much lower and there wouldn't have been a clear pathway to get weapons from the west.

They have taken more deaths in the last six months than we did in the 5 bloodiest years of the Vietnam War. And here's some more crazy for you. We only had 53 thousand combat deaths in World War I, so they have more deaths than we had in all of that. And to get even crazier, US deaths in World War II over the entire 3 1/2 years we were involved were 400 thousand, or roughly 57 thousand every six months. So Russia is pacing World War II American deaths in this invasion. No wonder that they know they can't win without full mobilization. The casualties are insane. They already have twice as many casualties as they did in the Soviet-Afghan War which was rightly seen as an absolute disaster.

Yeah, patriotic people today in Russia are definitely in some sort of prostration. I think the main reason for that is that our propagnda fed them lies for half a year and they finally realized that reality does not match with TV at all. Some pro-Putinists say that we must intensify military actions while others just blame our command and, sometimes, even his majesty the Putin. On the other hand, our opposition (or what is left of it) is just happy for Ukraine because they blame Putin for starting this nonsense. Even if the Russians had a spare 1 million troops to send to the area, they are struggling to provide logistical support for the 150K or so they have in Ukraine right now and wouldn't be able to feed, provide shelter (with heat with the coming winter) and ammunition for the larger number of troops. IMO, part of the morale problem Russia seems to have with its troops is related to not having regular hot meals, etc. that are important for keeping up morale in a war and are a direct result of logistics issues. Ukrainian troops can go without these things if need be because they have the ultimate motivational reason for being there - they are literally fighting for the survival of their country. The Russian troops are there because they were forced to be there or for money, and money is useless if you die in the process of earning it.

Not just hot meals... many of the rations provided expired years ago. More Russian corruption exposed. Gun barrels shot out of artillery pieces, precision munition supplies dwindling to nothing, vaunted SAM defenses thwarted, stockpiles of Russian armor destroyed, damaged, or captured, morale plummets to an all time low, and military leadership such that it is, suffers the highest casualty rates seen by any so-called modern military ever. And tactics... they STILL aren't using combined arms and throw armor in without support or throw bodies into a meat grinder to try and identify enemy positions that they can't hope to hit with artillery rendered completely inaccurate due to... barrels all shot out. Russia couldn't sort this out if they had a decade of peace and a fully functioning economy. No way they fix any of this by 2024. And that's just the tip of the ice berg... pilots... they're losing experienced pilots and pulled the best trainers to fight and die on the front lines making replacements unlikely or poorly trained. The problems are EVERYWHERE, which is what makes me think that their strategic rocket forces are also broken and in disrepair. Russia is fooqt. China will have a nice little vassal to their north for the next 50 years. I mean how does Russia even fix their NCO problem? They can't. Just wow.

@@patverum9051 Imagine if they sent all those pitch perfect goose stepping prettyboys to Ukrayn to fight, I would pay serious folding cash to see that debacle slaughter. Although they do have a good high kick, so Ukrayn would have to not get too close or they would get a bruised knee or shin.

Vlad Vexler explains some of this on his channel. The guy is a Russian in exile and its well worth having a look at his channel. It gives all the insight into what is happening in Russia and why they are failing. It also explains what they are scared of implementing a draft. He also made the distinction between criticising Putin and criticising the war. 🇬🇧 🇺🇦

TO ALL VIEWERS: Ukraine is a cause worth supporting. Let's contact our government representatives to urge them to do two things: 1 - Increase military aid to Ukraine. 2 - Toughen sanctions on Russia. You can call your representatives, send them an email, send them an old fashioned letter, respond to one of their Tweets ... something. Take the time to help Ukraine now ... you'll be proud of yourself when you do.
