I’m thinking about buying a gaming pc in the near future but have no knowledge on the subject, played console my whole life and have been fine with it but in recent years all my friends have quit playing and that was the main reason for me having a console to begin with, so I figured I’d move to a pc because they are the best for gaming, I don’t mean to ramble but what’s your opinion on someone that has no knowledge on gaming pcs and pcs in general for that matter, and what do you suggest I do when going about trying to get one? Almost everyone says build one but like I said I have no knowledge and I heard prebuilt pcs can be really bad and a complete ripoff either due to horrible customer service and company or just bad parts and build. Another thing that concerns me is technical issues or components breaking, i dont know how common of an occurrence that is for pc gamers but just thinking about replacing stuff in the future hurts my heart because everything to do with a pc is so expensive if you want the quality.

Prebuilt PCs can be pretty shitty especially nowadays. It really depends on the manufacturer. My PC is currently a prebuilt one and runs perfectly even though I've never upgraded once outside of my Memory. I've never had any PC parts break nor really any technical issues outside of things that may strain my PC beyond what it can do. Normally on places like Steam it will tell you a minimum and maximum requirement for specs to get stable performance/playability. Building a PC will normally always be the better option because you can be picky with your specs. Learning how to build one isn't entirely difficult either you just have to be careful with your components when putting them in (static electricity for instance). However, recently parts have been a lot more expensive and have rivaled or even exceeded the prices of some Prebuilt PCs. Since you've stated you're someone with no experience with PCs before I won't lie to you it will definitely feel a lot different going from console as a lot of games may or may not run better or worse on PC. Whether you want to learn to build one or buy a prebuilt one is up to you. The benefit is that you're able to mess around with the PC a lot more accessibly to get what you want out of it. But, if you're looking for a recommendation I would say a Prebuilt one. You can try to learn how to build one but depending on what you're going for you may end up spending more for parts than if you just bought one that was already manufactured. (Also Prebuilt PCs are more likely to be up to date so Windows 11 will probably be more common than previous versions unless you can find a PC with another OS. I would recommend Linux but that's an entire different process and I would recommend at least learning some PC knowledge first before jumping into the different distros that OS has) Note: I wrote this after just waking up so I probably didn't explain everything as thorough as I would've liked lol

@Al-wn1wo well that wasn’t very helpful

@@UnusedTaco78 You don’t give people like that attention, it’s the only thing that gives them purpose in this world so best to just leave them fermenting in their own ignorance and squalor. Thanks though friend.

just curious what are your system specs to run all these extra features. i dont think my 4gb of vram is enough.
@purintsueugen4832Місяць тому
I have a 3060 with 12Gb VRAM and i get 50 fps on ultra 1440p , so I don't think 4Gb is gonna cut it

@@purintsueugen4832figured, thanks

I'm pretty sure because if I remember my pc is also 4gb of vram (currently I cant check now). I havent really upgraded my pc since 2018 yet it still runs great with big straining mods even if its becoming outdated.
