the song was an empowerment to kids who are bullied and ignored. We see the kid in the video grow up and getting abused and ignored, but on the inside he's a badass, waiting for his chance but reserving himself. Then we see him get older and while all of his bullies are deadbeats he has the guts to fight a war, so what this song is trying to say is that the real badass is the one who endures suffering while the wimp is the one too weak to contain his wrathful pride. i think the song is kind of lyrically silly but it gives a good message.

I think they're a great rock band, certainly underappreciated, but the thing that's always disappointed me is that they don't have enough songs like this: Badass, Click Click Boom, Pride, etc. Their last two albums have been mainly comprised of songs that either take a while to get going or are just kind of slow overall.
