Farleigh’s mom (and therefore he) is a Catton.. he’s not actually from a lower SES, but his mom spent all of her money which is why he’s relying on his uncle financially. Maybe you know that, but I didn’t get that impression from the way you described it

i feel like with felix i was the same as u for sure 😭 it didnt click to me that he wasnt a great person til i started thinking about how they have a “poor person of the semester” type of thing going on (its mentioned that felix bought back another guy the year before), like a type of saviour complex!
