I love the idea of a pen on a phone. It might be helpful for some people (businessman, artists, students etc.). But honestly I think Smartphones are designed in such a way that its convenient to use them with digits rather than a pen. It might be useful for some but not for all.

Dang....s10 lite doesn't have jack but has snapdragon. Note 10 has two-year old chipset but has s pen. But I agree with your choice.

I doubt anyone would mind a Note phone being expensive than an S phone anyway. Besides, most of the things that make the S10 Lite better is simply because of the newer SD855.

Wow first detailed review of the lite phones I subbed :D Btw did you use the phones on LTE? Historically, Exynos versions usually drain much faster when using LTE as compared to Snapdragon ones.

@@gixi430 day to day usage not much difference. People complain exynos but it is a bias nothing else. Both phones have good battery backup. If u dont play hardcore games exynos 9810 good enough

After i saw that snapdragon is better than exynos, in all S10 series, in literally everything (camera, speed, performance, most important - battery life!) im so sceptic about new exynos processors..yes i do miss 3.5mm jack but id rather have a phone that will work smooth for 3-4 years like on day one.

Note 10 Lite all day...Really don't care about the difference about exynos and snapdragon....S Pen, a bit bigger battery and 3.5 mm JACK is kinda a must for me since I really love using my Razer Hammerhead Pro V2 earbuds I bought few years ago that works flawlessly to this day! If I go with the S10 lite then I need to buy wireless earbuds which I'm not a fan of and u have to charge them like a phone.....

I'm here because my note fe which uses exynos just broke down. I got love for the note, but I think I'll go with the S10 lite for the following reasons: - Exynos on the note lite, by the time of purchase, is already on its way to its 3rd year. SD855 is more future proof - Better battery as oppose to this review (Exynos has poor bat management) - Better camera - I can buy a cheap stylus if I really need one (will not work for writing though, but should work for editing) - I can buy a Bluetooth remote for cheap if I really wanted it for camera shutter - S10 lite got faster charging time

Exynos is Samsung in house chip which is more optimised for Samsung phones, While Snapdragon is a global chip used in 70% of android phones. I think if you're buying a Samsung phone better take Exynos as the chip is optimised well with the software.

I have a Galaxy Note 9 (so basically a Note 10 lite but better) 512GB, the Exynos 9810 is plenty enough for what I do. If I had to choose, I would pick the Note 10 lite for it's telephoto lens, it's S-Pen and it's headphone jack. But I choosed the Note 9 one month ago for it's better screen (no hole), 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage and better main camera.

Great video! I watched it twice, once when it was just released, and once again today. Recently their price went down (about 400 $), a very competitive offering and best value for money compared to the similarly priced Chinese phones (Huawei, oppo, realmi, Mi redmi...etc). In Samsung shop, s10 lite seems more premium in my hand. Battery life is better on S10 lite. Still I would pick the note 10 lite over S 10 lite ( the S pen, optical zoom and headphone Jack are more versatile and beneficial to me than slightly longer battery life and better chipset)

It's such a weird decision to come up with two imperfect phones at the same time. While people will think that the Note 10 lite is a better value phone(stylus, headphone jack, better battery optimisation) they will have to live with the fact that it's CPU is already one generation behind, has slightly weaker cameras, and slower charging than the S10 lite. The S10 lite owners will love the cameras and SD855 but they could have gone the other way for cheaper and got a stylus and headphone jack. Whatever you choose, the buyer's remorse will creep in until you get used to the device. So, better just wait for the OnePlus 8 series or look out for ASUS probably?

Hi yes I definitely like the Note 10 lite more specially cos of the s pen the headphone jack & I’m so glad is also got a zoom lens plus the extra 2 hrs battery life and the £50 cheaper price at £525, is a great deal & like u showed the 2018 processor still very good, now I don’t play games on it I just do social media watching UKposts listings to music with my headphones plugged into the jack. So is going to be a great upgrade from my Samsung S8 with the £200 Samsung.com are offering I’m going to be able to get the s10 lite for £325 & to have a really good long lasting battery is just great. So I’m going to get this deal now so I can get s10 lite delivered by Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for your great review it was exactly for the review and comparison I was looking form cheers peace.

Does the Note 10 Lite has Super Steady OIS like the S10 lite. Can you help telling this please. Also is there anybody if cropping going in either front or read camera while recording video be it 1080, 4k 30 or 4k 60. So I want to know the difference these two have with respect to super steady option application be is photo and video in any mode.

S10 lite has hardware change for camera setup using super steady ois...where as in note10 lite, they use software for image stabilization...No matter which phone you take for shooting stable videos, both will do it's best, all after it's a Samsung line-up!

great review Linus! I would approach differently though: wich kind of people will choose one or the other. S10 lite aims younger people who prefer gaming and photos, and are used to bluetooth headphones. Note10 lite aims older people who works on office apps or editing on the go, productivity on a budget thanks to the S pen and still use plugged headphones
