Pre orders in a physical store here in the philippines for a an s21 ultra would give you a buds pro, a smart tag, galaxy tab A 8.0 and a 25watt travel adaptor. Pretty neat!

@@colins5142 removing outdated features to keep the price down. Most people dont need additional storage because they dont use all of the storage phones come with naturally. If you need a phone with additional storage or phone jack then there are plenty of other options, samsung is known for giving lots of options

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the curved screen. That's a huge deal breaker for me, having been stuck with the curved edges on my S10+ for the past 2 years

I went with the S21 and am upgrading from my S9+. The flat screen is what really sealed it for me. I am TIRED of having to deal with the shitty temperered glasses on curved displays. The back not being glass is honestly best for me as it's one less worry for something shattering and I always use a case. Got the 256GB option and not having an SD slot doesn't bother me as I transfer to my PC when I record or take a lot of pictures. I use buds so I could care less about no headphone jack. Really wanted it for the screen, 5G and processor upgrade alone but the camera upgrade and other features not on the S9+ are nice too. I couldn't grab the 45-W adapter (OOS) but did get a new 25W and the Charge Pad Duo with my credit, I'm honestly pretty stoked!

I wish they made nicer color options for the ultra. It’s so frustrating that they continue to give us the non-pretty colors with higher spec phones. They did it with previous releases too. Why can’t I have all the high specs in pink 😭

If they're gonna have some phones in pink, they should make em all pink, same as black... people should be choosing phones based on specs and budget, some people may be turnt off by colour which is a huge bummer

I opted for the online red version available with Samsung on their site. Trading in my Note 10+ got me a buttload of stuff with their bundles. I highly recommend checking them out if you want to buy outright. The Thanos edition looks cool, but I got the Iron Man edition to go with my red Galaxy buds.

Good video. I feel that the S21 took cues from the S20FE, and that was the best S20 variant, especially in Exynos territories where 5G version was Snapdragon. The lack of microSD card expansion is not too much of an issue. I have SanDisk Dual Drive USB memory sticks to backup from my phones. There are many users who never use or don't have expandable storage. A bit of house keeping is all that's needed. Camera test the S21 ULTRA vs Note 20 Ultra vs iPhone 12 Pro Max vs Huawei Mate 40 Pro+.

How do you think the tempered glass screen protectors look for the ultra? Will they be the horrible dot matrix things with the adhesive on the edges only? I want the ultra, but I want a flat screen.

I think the processor will be the decider for me. I can do without the SD card as I don't take many photos and videos, but their own processors have been interior to the a Snapdragon for a while, yet charge the same price. Once I see both phone's performance for normal usage over time, I'll decide whether to stick with Samsung or go elsewhere

Love what samsung did, went back on price and learn their lesson. I personally still debating between the s21 and plus. I'm a small phone person, even though I'm a tall man with large hands, I just like that portability factor, plus at home I got my big tablet galaxy s7 plus. Love the flat display and I'm ok with full HD since most people once immerse won't tell the difference on such small screens. I'm ok with no chargers, since I rather pay less and get my own charger which I have now plenty. No SD? Well, I'm going to miss it, but at least their internal storage is faster and for $50 bucks more you double. What i don't like is that samsung neglects is smaller phones ALL the time with its battery, the plus model got a 300mah bump, while the regular one stayed the same. Even last years the s20 plus beat the s20 in battery, so this year it will beat it even more and to me battery life is a must.

@@warhawk2574 I was sort of skeptical, but my old phone was a broken screen s9 with a bad port, so I traded in not expecting to get the $200 credit, but to my surprise I was told via email 5hat it was accepted so I've $200 from a trading a phone that was not worth more than $50. As for getting the phone it was very easy and fast. It took like two days to get, except the galaxy buds. I even applied for their credit and ended up buying the Galaxy s7 plus tablet. The only thing I don't like, was the payment portal if you do get their like of credit, since is sort of.... not mobile friendly.

Saw this phone at Best Buy today on display.....it is beautiful! Coming from a note 20 ultra, I think the S21 plus will be the perfect phone for me.... much more comfortable and lighter. Also loving the flat screens on the s21 and s21 plus models. They are nice looking and the camera bump is very much improved from the previous model!

A point to note between rounded and flat glass is durability. The flat screen will be a LOT harder to break than the rounded on a drop

Wireless charging isn't a big deal to me but the removal of the MicroSD card is a huge issue because they can raise the price and anytime in future iterations once they get rid of it just like we see with cloud storage prices will always creep you don't want to lose your microSD card. Samsung keeps this trend up I'm going to have to find a different company to buy my phones from.

I switched from a Note 5 to the S8 and then the S9. It seemed the video and photo quality of the S8/9 was not as good as the Note 5 so I switched back. You asked what to compare the S21/Ultra to. Here is why I love the microSD card... I run out of cloud storage.. recently I had a softwere issue and had to send it to Samsung for a reset.. I didn't lose my pics and data cos I have them all on the SD card... PS - I just realised this means no dual SIM.. that really sucks.. as a person who used to (pre covid) travel abroad 3-4 times a year on holiday I used to love having both local SIM and a SIM of the country I traveling to for data... That way I am connected for my incoming business calls as well as local data rates... Now it's going to suck..

I honestly don't need one unless I'm low on space. I use USB-C file transfer so I'm fine with it getting ditched. But yeah, I feel the pain for some people

I’ve literally had 3 different sd cards corrupt on me and I’ve lost thousands of videos and photos. I say good riddance. Get the largest storage size and transfer off

just got my s21 ultra in the black color a few days ago, and if anyone is thinking about switching or upgrading to the new device... I sincerely recommend it. The video experience to the smooth animations and an extremely fast response, it's truly an amazing piece of technology. And it feels far more premium than any Samsung device every made.

Pricing is insane for s21 in India. Its even more (INR 70,000) than at what the s20 was launched. While in other countries, s21 ($799) is supposed to be less than the launch price of s20 ($999).

Really unsure between the s21 and s21 plus. Is glass vs plastic really a concern if u are putting a case on it anyway? The biggest differentiator for me is what screen size do I prefer? (Coming from a 6.4' note9). Apart from that everything is pretty much the same.

the only thing holding me back from upgrading from s20+ to s21+ is the micro sd card slot since my phone has a lot of files (especially videos) but then.. I guess I'll just wait for the full reviews if exynos 2100 really is worth it. Nice review btw!

I got the S21 plus. And I, honestly, think it's the best from the three phones. It's a good middle option. I like the look of the violet and since it's a good build, I'm content. I got it on sale brand new and unlocked. I saved close to $300 on it.

I think Samsung will see the lowest sales of their Galaxy Series with this version. Along with the pandemic but they are removing features like the micro SD storage will cause people to just hold onto their current phones. That's one thing that makes Android phones unique from Apple. Having the ability to use external storage. In that case, people might as well switch to Apple phones. Their camera quality is usually superior in most comparison tests. Maybe Samsung is trying to push people away from the Galaxy and Notes devices. They want them to go with their folding devices maybe? Unless that also won't have an external storage option either. 🤷🏾♂️

Well, they are indeed beginning with their TVs, so that's no joke. I think they'd be saving the environment more if they replaced their phone boxes with that like lf the TVs, foldable and reusable from any angle. If it means killing the premium feel of the box then I'm down.

My s21 plus should be arriving soon 😁 I'm coming from s10plus and only downside to the upgrade will be the lower resolution hopefully won't be a issue. Looking forward to bigger screen, smaller bezels, 120hz and flat screen and the camera hole will be smaller. Can't wait to try it 🔥 do have my expectations low but still looking forward to it. I got the s21 plus on a good deal

I still have my S10e. It came with a charger in box, it has a headphone jack (I listen to high quality IEMs) and it has a micro SD slot. Plus a great form factor at just 5.8".. I'll keep it, thanks. ✅

Terrrrrrrible battery life i have the s10e and love it its my fav samsung besides the fold 2 but the ultra if it had a flat screen and was half inch smaller it would be the worlds perfect phone

you can say that again. Even if I was willing to spend money on the ultra to get the glass back and QHG resolution you are forced to use an over sized phone. Buying the standard s20 for size alone forces you to make stupid sacrifices. It looks like an actual downgrade from the s20. Since I will be coming from the s10 I will also need a new charger for the super fast charging which will cost more money. All I can say is that the xiaomi mi 11 is starting to look more interesting to buy. Similar specs and costs less

@@Shadowgaming121201 In the US perhaps but not in Europe. It still doesn't change the fact that if you want a "regular" size that you have to basically downgrade from last years model. The plus and ultra is simply too big. I also don't see anything significantly worth upgrading coming from a s10 for the price of a new phone. Lets be honest here. Samsung is taking the biscuit this year.

Cloud is way slower, expensive, and unavailable than sd. In addition with a phone with sd you can have both. Even if you have 5g you still pay for gbs up and down and cloud provider caps speed, also they only offer 1tb for free. With and s10p you can have 2tb in your hand + 1tb cloud which can't even backup the phone data. Obviously you, like supersaff, are not smartphone power user who uses the smartphone as the center of your media and tech. You probably rely on computers as main devices and phone only to call and take some pics, videos and play.

The micro sd slot is a big deal for me I do store a lot of films and music on the card ! I currently use 128gb card and as memory price fall a 256mb is not not that expensive.

Same. I was going to trade in my (cracked screen) s20+ for the s21+- but without the external storage is a deal breaker for me. I currently am at 85% internal and 86% external and I regularly clean out my gallery. I'm going to just get a new S20+and hope the next series will be better

Love the S21 ultra 5g. I bought it and have never looked back. A phenomenal phone. I personally do not like the look and feel of the S22 ultra, it's far too square and sharp, they have tried to make it look too much like a note which it is not, it is an S series. Great video thank you.

Great detailed video. It sucks not having charger and sd card slot. AT&T was selling saying it had an SD slot. Is there a dual sim version? Again AT&T were telling me the 21+ was a dual sim, and not until it arrived did I realize, the one there were selling was not dual sim. That's when I realized it also did not have a charger or an SD slot. I think AT&T sales reps should know there products better.

Think of keeping my Note 10+, just hate the thick camera module on all the following models. Theres no expandable storage when now is more needed, same ram as the previous phones. What are we getting that REALLY WORTH THE UPGRADE?

This is isnt just an issue of an SD slot, it also means losing a physical 2nd SIM card slot. In EU, having 2 SIM's is very useful and especially if you cross borders often, you really want to take advantage of this. Right now, this release feels like an Apple phone running on android.

With 8k video on board , expect to fill up that internal storage on the phone quickly. Big mistake removing the s.d card. I loved how if my internal device storage was getting full, i can just pop in an SD card. Now with the S21 you must be very careful not to load up to much stuff , because then your device with slow down overtime .this is a big deal for a lot of users. Not a smart move at all 👎
