Finally got my hands on one. And loving it so far 😍. Being a Samsung fan I really wanted it. The sleep tracker is one of my main reasons, along with the rotating bezel.

Love the video but just an update on pricing, check with samsung first before making a decission. I paid under 200 for mine after i traded in my galaxy frontier s3 watch. I got the standard size in bluetooth only so that helped as well. The celluar version is over 400 as far as i can tell but again check with samsung when you want to buy one. Also i was able to fit my s3 watch bands to the new watch so at least you get to reuse your favorite old watch bands.

Is there any way we can check daily calories burn on through this watch/apps? I’m using iPhone btw. There’s nothing much to see on Samsung Health apps. So disappointing that I can’t even see previous days histories 💔

i have gone from a galaxy watch active 2 to active 3. the active2 silicone watch bands don't work on the active3. have you found ones that do work? thanks. this pertains to my husband's 45mm watch.

I found this on eBay thinking it was an active 2 cause that's what the description said (obviously wrong lol) plus it was only 60 bucks. but when it came I was definitely not disappointed finding that it was a 300+ dollar watch with more features that I wanted 😂

The active has a digital rotating bezel, so while it's not physical, you can still spin your finger around it to go through menus.

If your into fitness tracking, do not buy this watch. Samsung doesn't even use the HR during the workout when calculating cals/min (intensity) just generic burn rate based on activity, heigh, weight etc. Tested this using three different weights workouts and sitting at my desk. All the same cals/min when selecting same category.

Bought one yesterday, spent almost 3 hours with sales staff trying to fix stuff and returned it this morning. If the host phone is off or out of cellular signal range, it will not forward text messages to the watch. Calling features work without issue, but the text issue was a no-go for me. I'll just have to wait for an android watch that has text capabilities if the host phone is off or has no cell signal.

Get the lte version then. You can call and text without your phone near you. If you got the Bluetooth and wifi version then you'll need your phone on all the time since it needs to be connected to the phone wifi and Bluetooth.

@@hootgotthegood5413 I did have the LTE version. Perhaps I was expecting too much from the watch. If the phone isn't on and connected to a data network, it won't forward calls to the watch. The watch can call and text if the associated phone is off, but it doesn't receive. Hopefully there will be a more 'standalone' watch in the future.

I'm still Rockin my Gear S3 Frontier that DOES support MST payments. I don't use any of the fitness functions, just answering calls, send / receive texts, check emails, weather and package alerts etc... My Gear still does all those things just as good as the Watch 3. And did I mention.... It DOES support MST payments lol

I use my Gear S3 Frontier more than my watch 3 simply because of the MST payments and weight. Love my watch 3 as well, but it's a little light on wrist and I don't care for the round button

Calling it an "Android smart watch" which happened twice is a bit misleading. This watch isn't running Google's Wear OS platform (based on Android) but instead Tizen OS.

Wtf do you mean it only works with nfc and not contactless... NFC is contactless that's how it works. Its how mobile payments work on anything except iPhone. That's why you can tap your bank card on the back of your phone and it detects it. Not a very well knowledgeable tech channel. This watch works with all contactless machines. Just like Samsung pay on the phone does.

Samsung I want to love your devices. However the watch fall short from the Apple Watch. The talk to text extremely slow. It’s like dial-up Internet waiting for the word to appear on the watch. I truly want to love it but I absolutely can’t. All of your watches function this way. Because I am an ad said user on my smart watch I had to go back to Apple because Samsung is just not there yet when it comes to smart watches. Smart phones you beat Apple 1000%
