The fold 3 will be my main phone. I have a note 8 as a back up. Yes the under display camera is not the best. But I will never use it.

I disagree. I have Fold 2, and I hate the external display. It is very narrow, small, and not practical. I switched to the S21 Ultra, and I'm very happy with it. The camera is way better than the Fold.

That’s a long time to wait and no one really knows but it could happen. My bet is the fold eventually will be the note series so there will be a major redesign but I am guessing that will take a few iterations before that happens especially if there is a new note phone next year.

I'm getting the fold 3. I've been waiting since the fold one and I'm betting the fold 5 will have some of if not most of the featured you mentioned and having the fold 3 during the wait will make it more bearable

I'm in the same boat as the other guys. Was super excited for the first Fold, but it was a disaster. 2 was better, but still sub-par specs for a $1,900 phone. I waited until now for a better processor, 16gb RAM, 512gb of storage, waterproofing, S Pen support (which was unbelievable how they didn't include it in the first place.), and a much more durable screen/body. The 120hz cover screen is just icing on the cake.

That's a weird question. It depends on what type of phone you want. The best foldable or one of the best traditional phones? The Fold is revolutionary and a multi-tasking powerhouse. Do you want a tablet in your pocket? Are you willing to change the way you use a phone? Some are not. To me, it's the future, and it's very exciting.

There is no option I can see to do it manually in the settings since it is adaptive but power saving mode sets them to 60hz.

@@dansourile5444 Because unless it's from Apple or there's a cutting edge camera, it's "beta". Nevermind being waterproof or the S Pen upgrade that essentially were the biggest missing features. All that's left is SD card storage, the camera, and a truly durable screen with no crease (which can eventually be done.)

@@sammiches6859 but this person claims the ZF2 is not beta... And that has the same camera and way LESS impressive stuff. And they're happy ZF2 owners, so I'm not thinking they're Apple lovers. @@dansourile5444 well he said that the first fold was a beta and the fold 2 didn t offer new features but durability and a new design whereas the fold 3 offers new features which makes it a beta product.

@@dansourile5444 What was the fold one considered by many??? A beta product from the cover screen was too small rendered unusable to its sealing issue with dust, particles, and the not screen protector which failed to mention not to remove. The z fold 3 addressed the water issue but, not dust. The cameras are the same as the z fold 2. The screen on the outer cover is still too narrow similar to z fold 2 for full use even with 120hz. No screen is truly durable to human interaction; everyone is different on how they take care of a device. The z fold two addressed a lot of the issues from z fold (gen 1)- outer screen, folding positions, better triple cameras, faster processor s 865+, cleaner inside the display, better optimization via software to hardware. Unless you personally own the z fold 2 device, it's hard to understand why the factors matter in regards to upgrade. If you're a z fold 2 owner this is not an upgrade but, if you're a z fold owner then it's considered an upgrade* hence you even have the unlocked version which wasn't worth it after the UKpostsr test press fail. So too those commenting above, do you even own a z fold device? if so which model?

For someone who never owned a fold , should i get the 2 and save the extra cash? I don't care about the s pen at all , I only care about durability and heavy gaming which i thin the snapdragon 865 do better than the 888 of the zf3.

@@myexperia2207 if you love using mst magnetic strip for samsung pay where you hold your phone up to the swiper where they have the screen In front. Go for z fold 2 otherwise if you don't care about mst get 3

I'm a Note user but I'm switching to the fold. I don't think they'll keep making the Note because of the limitations of having to fit a pen inside the phone. It's really pick your poison, either have the pen fit in the phone, thus it has to be a toothpick, or it's closer to the size of a real pen but can't go into the phone because of it's size.

@@sawyermishak3300 nah it really doesn’t need to be a toothpick , it is only that way because samsung chooses to make the bloody handset built so razor blade thin , so thats all on samsung. Samsung could easily make the real slab galaxy note a bit chubbier (look at what a dam porker the folded fold is. ! )with a bigger pen and a bigger battery and the majority of features that samsung has deleted from all recent model high end galaxy’s in the last couple of years and the majority of note buyers would be happy with it. Alas here we have samsung inflicting the fold on us , and no real slab galaxy note . Samsung …. Meh .

@@mikldude9376 People want thinner phones not fatter ones, the Nokia days are way behind us. I don't think people would be happy if they came out with a Note that was twice as thick for the sole purpose of having a larger S Pen. You could throw in a much larger battery and other stuff in the openness inside the phone, but then guess what goes up? 💰 The fold is that thick because it's two phones on top of each other that make a tablet, not really the same. People are willing to trade off thickness for something that becomes a tablet, but thicker just for an S Pen, I don't think so.
