The oldest known documented sighting of the Mogollon Monster was reported in a 1903 edition of The Arizona Republican, in which I.W. Stevens described a creature seen near the Grand Canyon as having “long white hair and matted beard that reached to his knees. It wore no clothing, and upon his talon-like fingers were claws at least two inches long.” Upon further inspection he noted “a coat of gray hair nearly covered his body, with here and there a spot of dirty skin showing.” He later stated that after he discovered the creature drinking the blood of two cougars, it threatened him with a club, and “screamed the wildest, most unearthly screech”.
Another early documented sighting was recounted by cryptozoologist Don Davis. During the mid-1940s he was on a Boy Scout trip near Payson, Arizona, of which he gave the following account: “The creature was huge. Its eyes were deep set and hard to see, but they seemed expressionless. His face seemed pretty much devoid of hair, but there seemed to be hair along the sides of his face. His chest, shoulders, and arms were massive, especially the upper arms; easily upwards of 6 inches in diameter, perhaps much, much more. I could see he was pretty hairy, but didn’t observe really how thick the body hair was. The face/head was very square; square sides and squared up chin, like a box”.
Marjorie Grimes, a Whiteriver, Arizona resident, claimed to have sighted the creature a number of times between 1982 and 2004. She described the creature as black, tall, and walking in big strides. A number of people on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation also claimed to have seen the creature.
Tonight I speak to Ron and Ron writes “This took place on the Mogollon Rim in Arizona. I got off work at 10:30 pm Saturday night in Phoenix, and a friend of mine, Mark, was waiting for me to pick him up and go for a two day camp and fish at a spot that was a favorite of mine as well as my friends up north in the cool pines. The month was August and all through the hot months I headed up north a couple times a month with family and friends trying to get out of the heat and fish.
I arrived at Mark’s house before 11:00 pm and we loaded his stuff up and headed up north and arrived at the spot around 1:30 am. We didn’t camp where we normally camped, Mark, for some reason wanted to camp in a spot we never camped before. We were next to a canyon where people don’t camp. We were camped on a trail that led down the canyon to the creek below. We left everything in my car except our sleeping bags and Mark’s rifle and flashlight. We threw down our bags thinking we could get all the stuff out of the car in the morning and set up camp for the next two days. In the moonlight, I could see my car which was around 100 feet away. I don’t recall how close the nearest campers were to us, but I could smell a little campfire smoke. Using a flashlight, Mark loaded the rifle, I saw him put one in the chamber and told me it was ready to fire if something approached us. I am not a gun person, fishing is my specialty. I love to fish and have my whole life. But guns were not my “thing.” But I knew all I had to do was grab the gun, aim, and pull the trigger if needed. We both settled down in our sleeping bags, with the rifle above our heads. The stock was above my head and the barrel above Mark’s head and the safety was off. In retrospect, probably not the best way to handle a loaded rifle…

Mitchell Waite was awesome at investigating and filming and camping in the Mogollon Rim area and had a family of Sasquatch with names that visited him often. Squeaker was my favorite. The youngest observed of the Sasquatch tribes family of 5-6. He mentioned that there was a tribe of canabal Sasquatch reported in that area as well as friendly tribes. Thanks for sharing your stories and experiences! 👣💕👣🦅🪶

I’ve been to the Mogollon Plateau, I have never seen anything but just skirting the edge of it you feel how remote it is and when you’re driving through those forests it can start to get oppressive knowing there’s no points of civilization for dozens to hundreds of miles in any direction. It’s a profound place.

@@rockwellrhodes7703 I highly doubt this channel would delete any comments since Les doesn't have anything to prove or disprove to anyone and has no vested interest one way or another in this phenomenon. He's never stated he thinks these beings exist and only admits its possible. Saying that, even if they did delete it, they won't delete a reply to someone's comment so why not leave what you have to say here? Are you saying that thousands of people (hunters, hikers, s Wildlife officials, native Americans and Canadians, police officers lawyers, biologists) all throughout history since the early 1800s are con artists that are part of some big con? That someone throughout history went all over the usa and Canada and left large tracks in remote places where they might never be found? That thousands, yes literally thousands, of credible witnesses with signed legal affidavits were either lying or misidentified what they saw? If you're going to make the ridiculous and ignorant claim that you know for a FACT that these beings aren't real, then the burden of proof is on you to show the evidence that proves they don't exist. Sorry but that's impossible. No one piece of evidence is enough to discount centuries of evidence and data. The sheer number of witness sightings alone is enough to convince a court of law. Something also to consider: les stroud, Jane Goodall and David Attenbourogh are all on record stating that these beings COULD exist in the wilderness of North america. I think you're just another close minded skeptic who has never researched this topic and hasn't done an historical deep dive on it. Until you have done that, you can't say that they absolutely don't exist.

Yes he does have more shows coming I believe, I think he’s awesome & has learned a lot in the short time he’s been involved in investigating the subject, his shows are awesome! Expedition Bigfoot has finally coming around to what k own regarding cloaking, the special abilities they possess! When ever thinking of Sasquatch one must think outside the box for they have abilities we don’t understand & when we don’t understand something we think it’s fake. The more you learn regarding the subject the deeper the rabbit hole gets! When researching any cryptic creature one must investigate all encounter reports be it outlandish, crazy or insane. one cannot pick & choose their own narrative & shut down others they think is impossible. You can learn some behavior patterns by just reading encounter reports, after only reading one hundred or more you will see correlations as in time of year, month, time of day/night, activity as in hunting, fishing , hiking, camping, driving, weather, time of day/night and of course the context of situation which are many! Now read even more 300, 500, 700 & on & on, now there are so many correlations it’s undeniable! It takes years & years but your learning some behavior patterns! Try it even just one hundred or more it’s evident these correlations you will be amazed!

@@allenforbus9020 Hey there Allen. I was just making a statement about how some people have numerous encounters/situations and so many others never do. I've been in the woods for nearly all my life. I would disappear down trails from the time I was 2 years old, started skipping school to spend the day in the bush hunting small game by the time I was 11 and then got into big game around age 17. Majority of my woodsmanship and hunting skills are self taught and second nature after near 50 years. I've had some strange encounters in that time from strange lights to tree knocks and movements outside my tent and camper. Wasn't so lucky as to have such intense and as many occurrences as this fellow though. I've been working as a building contractor and have had the opportunity to guide some fishing trips in the Temagami area over the past year and a half within 15 km of Les Stroud's cabin. I've had 2 occurrences of the on guard sensation and the one time tree knocks with a witness. Been keeping my eyes open to the phenomenon since I'm around 9 years old. Haven't had a sighting that wasn't explained in my own mind as moose or bears. But living in northern Ontario I think there's plenty time and opportunity to perhaps have an awesome encounter that can't be explained!

The 6th sense is important. I spent most of my first 4 decades out there in the bush, either messing around and also working. When something feels wrong, trust your gut feelings. Science can't and won't answer some questions, apart from a very few that know and are fearless. Who wants to be ridiculed, after experiencing what 'science' hasn't/can't prove to exist? Skinwalker ranch (disregard that stupid movie) for example, but, read the data available they collected, if it's still is available online. We, the ordinary people, are treated like mushrooms and fed bs... there is no strange, according to those that control us. Just, go to work and pay half your wages to them. When you've experienced something strange, no matter how badly it affects the remainder of your life, don't expect to be believed. Pah... I spent many years dealing with people face to face, from sober to black-out drunk, and my bs meter, I think, is very accurate. I heard no lie spoken in his story... I'm answering your critic Al.

@FecoFace
@FecoFace Рік тому
I'm going to apologize in advance for length, but I have some thoughts on the first encounter that I'd like to share and see if my thought holds water, or if I'm off base. Let's see if UKposts has a character limit on comments. I'll start by saying I come from a place of respectful skepticism with this man's first encounter. I try to approach all encounters that I hear similar to how Les says he does. I believe this man is not lying, that he was not impaired by drugs or alcohol, he does not seem delusional in any way, so that leaves us with that he is giving us a factual representation of what he saw. I believe that he believes he saw bigfoot, or in this case, the Mogollon Monster. However, I believe this may have been a hoax that his friend was in on, and I don't believe he did it alone. What follows will be my explanation as to why I think that way. Upon arrival, they set up camp in a spot insisted upon by the friend, that was close to some trees, a clearing, and a trial that was further away from the other campers in the campground. The friend then loads a gun, has a round chambered, and has it ready for use. Keep in mind, the person telling the story has no experiencewith guns. I'll come back to my thoughts on that in a bit. Fast forward to the encounter that lasts for 2 hours where this creature meanders back and forth between the trees. The friend cannot be stirred or woken because as it turns out, he is paralyzed by fear. The creature leaves as the sun rises and the friend shoots up saying "What was that?" implying this was not human, despite not seeing the creature at all, and hearing Ron saying not what, but who? So without seeing whatever it was that was seen by Ron, the friend is adamant that this was a "What" and not a "Who." They pack up and have a quiet ride home. My explanation is this, we know Ron did not believe in this phenomenon, but the friend did. I think Ron's friend planned this trip to be an elaborate hoax. Why? I have no clue, but I pulled plenty of pretty elaborate pranks on my friends as a kid, just for laughs. I think friend had an accomplice in the campground further down. Friend selected the spot to camp because it was secluded, near a trail for easy access for his Monster, had a few trees and a clearing as a backdrop for the encounter. I believe Friend had gun loaded with dummy rounds or blanks, knowing they would likely be safe near a campground that fish and game patrolled and knowing ron wouldn't know the difference in the rounds as he is not familiar with guns. The time of the encounter, accomplice takes garb used and treks into location, suits up, and begins. Friend stays still and motionless, hiding his face. I think this was so that he wouldn't give himself away with words or even a facial expression. Morning comes, hoaxer moves out of site as maybe the suit is not very convincing in the daylight, the removes suit, maybe stuffs it in a bag, and returns to camp. The friend constantly insinuating that this was a "what" not a "who" was him planting the idea in Ron's head that Ron saw a monster, not a man. As far as the creature's height, I don't have a logical explanation other than the height being misjudged by Ron due to the time of night, the garb the hoaxer may have been wearing, or the simple fact that when you're sitting/lying in a sleeping bag looking up at something and you're gripped with fear, things may seem larger than what they truly are. I know this was long winded and also a bit of a long shot, but there were several aspects of the first encounter that just seemed odd to me. Again, I do believe this man is giving factual representation of what he saw, but I believe what he saw was a fabrication. Who knows, I could be dead wrong and they truly did have a sasquatch stalking them through the night. Let me know your thoughts!

Interesting, possible, myself that’s a lot of planning & chance of being shot at with someone who does not have experience with fire arms is not a smart thing! Also who ever did this would have to come up from the canyon below in the dark let alone travel up the trail etc. I’m just using this report as an example! But who knows, also I’ve read many reports that have been longer than 2- hours, I cannot say which ones but will now start making a list when I see them from this point on!

Why would he risk someone’s life by playing a prank? Let’s say if it was a prank and his friend was so scared that he actually shot the rifle and killed whomever it was pretending to be Bigfoot? That would be horrible. I don’t think anyone would waste there time dressing up as a Bigfoot and walking back and forth for hours just watching someone. That’s just my opinion though
@FecoFace
@FecoFace Рік тому
@@upt_wink804 In my foil hat theory, I mentioned that the gun may not have been loaded with live rounds, but rather blanks or dummy rounds. I agree that if it were truly live rounds, than that would be beyond stupid, even for a prank. But for someone that knows very little about firearms, they may not know the difference. Again it's a Mr. Fantastic type of stretch, but just something that went through my mind.

@@rockwellrhodes7703 I’ll just say what my experience(s) are I’ve experienced being a witness in courtroom trial for the prosecution were the defendant caused a bad accident and took off, I followed & they were subsequently arrested, now mind you I stutter and as I’ve gotten older its not as bad as my younger years remembering all the times through out my life being interviewed with people listening made me stutter even more so automatically I was thought to be lying so remembering these times I became visibly upset when the defense attorney started smiling, I started interrupting the defensive attorney when she started characterizing me, I looked to the judge who nodded there head as to go ahead which I did being angry didn’t miss a word and told of other things that even the prosecution had no knowledge of! It wiped that attorneys smile right off her face, sitting next to the jury I know they saw the emotions in my face! I’m just explaining a time that happened when I knew I was not being believed & getting upset about it made me angry & just like singing usually people who stutter do not when they are singing or angry! I bet this person interviewed is very angry about these comments for it takes balls to open up about a encounter, I’ll say this I’ve seen more than three of these creatures & more… My newest quote, People can’t even wrap their heads around Sasquatch what will they do when they find out about all the other creatures out there! Another thing remembrance without hesitation, no matter how traumatic. Wow I think not, many have PSD & nightmares for years afterwards, yes it depends on the person & encounter context but I wasn’t there, you weren’t there & his friend didn’t even get out of the sleeping bag let alone look at the creature…. Not all are like the types you are around! Take care Sir…
