Good ol days ....in woods partying!

It took me 15 years and ALOT of Listening Before I came to terms with EXACTLY what I Saw! AND IT WAS 10 Ft. AWAY! But living in Northeast Pennsylvania and it being 2000 -2001 I NEVER thought these things were anywhere but in the PAC West. So I know how hard it can be to believe your own eyes. PLUS it was at Night So I didn't get the BEST Look at it. But when that flashlight almost hit its face it left out a HUFF That lifted my hat off my head! The force was UNREAL! I dropped the Hatchet and flashlight and I was outta there! Left my buddy there although he ended up grabbing the light and chasing me BUT I Knew Everything it wasn't..I just couldn't believe that I had that happen to me on just an average night out parting and riding our quads around the woods from party spot to party spots. Those Were Some AWESOME Times!! Every town had it's own group of people partying and hanging in the woods. Just Jacked Up Trucks and ATVs everywhere with good people and good music.😮Wait WTF was I talking about 😂LoL..Glory Days!

I love to hike/ camp but can't say I've ever ran into any cryptid like thing. I'd say I'd love to but I'd probably die from hear failure if I did, great story!!

Okay, now I'm second guessing a hiking experience near Toutle WA. My husband and I were heading back to the car, we had parked next to a locked forest gate. After some hours of exploring on the old logging roads, we noticed the sun had gone down and it was getting dark, and we heard what we thought were wolves beginning to howl. Along the twisty road back, we heard dry stick snaps in the forest that kept getting closer, and after another minute we realized the cracking and the howls were coming from multiple sides. We said to each other that we were being hunted by timber wolf pack (since we had seen some enormous tracks around the area) and began to hustle in earnest. The noises kept up with us, and by the time we were in sight of the car (a Saturn, thank the gods) we were RUNNING full speed, and using the keyless entry to unlock as soon as we hit range. We sat in the car, doors locked, to see if the dogs came into view, but saw nothing. Now I don't think it was wolves FML

Any one who laughs at the topic sitting in their living room on a couch that does not go out in the deep woods is a fool. Hey Les, I'm a very long time follower of your work. I've learned alot from you on outdoor survival. I recently came across some hair like filaments here in Northwest Florida while filming my own survival videos and I'm stumped. I was on a game trail tracking and found these 2 to 3 foot coarse black hairs in the tree branches and on the side of a pine tree rub high off the ground. 6 to 7 feet. I'm hopeful you see my comment and can help me on who I can contact to have this hair analyze. I'm stumped, never seen this before. Anyway thank you for your time, you have been a huge inspiration to me and made a huge impact on my live with your skills and knowledge

I heard a parable about a beggar who spent his whole life sitting on a box asking for hand outs. One day a monk passed him and the beggar asked if he had anything to spare. The monk said "no, but have you ever looked inside that box you sit on?" Later the beggar opened the box and discovered it was filled with gold. So everything we need we already have, if we actually look inside.

I had an encounter with a sasquatch in Bankhead National Forest in Lawrence County Alabama about 20 minutes south of Huntsville Alabama just past Decatur Alabama I know Grissom high school well

The genome project has made some pretty big leaps in its conclusions on the sequences examined. It's common for a sequence - when run through BLASTn to come back with conflicting results for different regions. You need a proper phylogenetic tree of the results and you just gather more regions with higher coverage until you get the closest match. If one region is different you don't conclude it's a hybrid you just conclude that it's an unclear result.

I believe Steve does bring some credibility to the subject ( so doesn't Scitt Carpenter ) but Steve was a hunting guide that guided for all kinds of animals including brown bears. That alone takes the possibility of a mis identification out of the equation.

Maybe someone can help me find a audio video that I had listened to a few years back. It was a man and his dog camping in a camping trailer and the man called 911 and was talking to a dispatch. He was very freaked out yell that there was something rocking his camper, I believe the bigfoot even flipped his camper. He said he could see it looking in and you could hear the dog whimpering and you could hear some growling in this youtube video, but it was only audio. The deputies were out there tring to locate the man and his dog but by the time they found him the creature had already left. Can anyone help me locate this video? I would greatly appreciate it!

The toilet paper thing happened, because most people aren't at home using toilet paper several times a day...then all of a sudden most people were...I have 3 girls in my family plus my husband....we were going through toilet paper so quickly...knew a family with 10 people in there family that were all suddenly at home. Oh and of course many people panic bought, but it was for good reason...

Steve was a breath of fresh air from the typical story teller who likes to plagiarize their supposed encounter. He didn't copy the usual buzz words or lines that people used that came from Finding Bigfoot, Monster quest, or some documentary on tv. It's like when the word "gutteral" became so popular that everyone was using it to try and make their stories sound more legitimate, and then stories shifted to phrases like " It let out a scream that I felt in my chest" or "It was paralleling me", and the ever popular " It took about 2½ steps for it to cross a 12 lane freeway" Well I made up the freeway part, but you get my drift. 😄 "Crashing thru the woods like a bulldozer"also gets honorable mention here as well. Then stuff like "I heard a noise coming from my 10:30, or my 2oclock position" started making the rounds with people's encounters. All of this stuff was pulled straight from tv , and it had gotten so bad that I just stopped listening for a while. Whether it was here, Dixie Cryptid, or Buckeye Bigfoot, almost everyone was doing this, so yeah..... encounters such as Steve's are the ones that peak my interest and get me emotionally invested. Wes has the patience of a saint with some of these people and he never undermines anyone and he let's them talk as long as they want without interrupting them, but he can probably spot a fraud story from a mile away.
