My thoughts on the open world is that, since the sims 4 is much more limited in what they can do, maybe an open neighborhood would work better. This will hopefully get rid of the problem from the sims 3 where all lots were empty, and it would still give us an open world experience

As someone who has had 2 babies, I can confirm that they indeed look like little wrinkly aliens/old people fresh out of the womb. Fun fact: most “newborns” on TV/in commercials are several weeks or even months old because actual newborns look too icky for them 😂

I love the concept of Sims staying over, I just wish they actually did things. All my guests do is walk around the house and stand in one spot.

I’ve experienced the “chomp” glitch and the infant stretching out glitch without Growing Together. I kind of feel that making us spend another $40 for features to use a “free” update reminds me of my 11th grade health teacher warning us that drug dealers would give us a free taste so that we’d get hooked and spend all our money on drugs. Even more so because infants and the pack were promoted together so the update alone was a bit underwhelming

EA being cash grabby is like the sky being blue. They really have split packs into multiple different ones. I really hope these new life sims blow them out the water so they have to actually up their game and give us better content at a better price point! (More stuff, less bugs, for less money) I can’t wait for competition.

I'd like for an open neighborhood, only loading screens between new neighborhoods and worlds not every single lot. That way they can add more stuff to do in a specific neighborhood. They have descriptions but they don't even feel that way

To be fair, in the sims 4 your options for kids furniture is beige or burn your retinas green/purple/pink.

I don't agree at all about the social menu. The new update is a life changer for me ! It took a few hours to get used to but now I absolutely love it. cutting it down significantly would be a mistake imo for story telling

My sims parents phoned to come over. Her mom and dad, and EVERY OTHER RELATIVE came as well. There were 7 sims visiting in a tiny 2 bedroom house. When they left, no one took their suitcases. LOL

Six packs correspond to one pack *yet those 6 are lack cluster and still have less gameplay and features as the 1.* However we can’t say it too loud otherwise some simmers will go nuts, say it’s not true and acuse those who point it out as complainers. Yes, occults may be more in depth but it’s the only thing.

Don't get me started on bugs with this EP. My sim infant Ezra or Cora needed a bath and my sim matriarch picked them up, bathed them for like 10 sim minutes and took them out and put them on the activity mat thingy and the kids were still blowout diapered. This happened like 3 more times before I tried to make a YT short of it but whilst doing the short the damn sim finally did what I asked. So I couldn't expose her on her glitch sadly. And I have a bug where my sims don't want to do laundry cause there is no option to turn the washer or dryer on cause why not add a little more stress to the 100 baby challenge by making my sim do laundry. XD.

Lmao luckily I usually don’t have super broke packs 😅 I do love to see the hilarious but scary bugs though. The weirdest for me was Grim tried to bathe my infant when a family member died. Legit mid stop while reaping, just walked into my house.

Gosh one thing I've found really annoying with infants is every Sim in the household if they're a teen or older will want to take care of the baby when they're already being cared for by someone! Drives me nuts lol.

I wouldnt mind more rabit holes. Where that pier is that building next to it should have been like an ice cream or snow cone store, or maybe something else fun like a boat ride or air balloon. Sim could have gone in and came back out with a moodlet.

The repeated bitings from infants keeps reminding me of Plumbella's challenge video she made in TS4 where she had to grow up only doing mean interactions, and she bit her mother on the finger about 5 times in a row iirc. lol

The cannon caused fire in my baby shower too. Until that moment everything was going perfect, they talked sitted in the couch, everybody eat pizza, nobody had pissed themselves or fall sleep on the floor.

the large visitor family thing happened to me, and it wasn't even relatives. it was just a friend my sim made through the welcome wagon. he was living on a 20x15, too! also "think about family member" is a parenthood mechanic--if someone's the type of simmer who has never had a teen age up while living with their siblings or caretakers, they can go entire years of gameplay and never see it.

That chair is definitely a response to our complaints about high chairs - my advice: Don’t have one, even for aesthetics. Your sims will try to use them and by use, I mean put the baby in it like stocks (not the kind you get rich on, the thing they used to put people’s arms and head into for punishment) and leave it there alone without feeding or caring for it. They will stand by and wave their arms around aimlessly while you get a workout 🏋️‍♂️ on your mouse or controller slamming it, trying to make them take the baby OUT of the -medieval torture device- high chair, also aimlessly

The other problem with the new interaction menu is that some pre-existing interactions have disappeared. Want to comfort your sad spouse ? No, that's no longer an option. Want to ask Father Winter for a gift? Too bad, it's not possible anymore. Really upseting... EDIT : apparently these interactions still exist, but they are very well hidden deep into the menus. My bad !

Worst bug I have experienced is the milestones getting wiped out when you play with another household for more than a day. Milestone bugs affect all life stages but it is more frustrating to have your infants' skills reset.

My only flex is that my irl newborns were genuinely cute. But they came out pretty chubby so the wrinkles were replaced by squish 😂

2:01 "Are the devs okay?" This just proves that people don't tend to read item descriptions in TS4. A LOT of them are written in a similar style to that one, or tell other jokes. Looking at the base game fridges in order of price, you get an involved monologue about "crispers". A lot of the high end basegame furniture tells snippets of stories about someone named Princess Cordelia. More than half of the item descriptions I've read give a similar vibe of "responding directly to in-game customer feedback". Kindermade is an in-game brand that's featured in the basegame as well as I think Toddler Stuff.

i have to go to manage worlds and back into my household EVERY TIME my sim puts an infant in their crib because they do the interaction but at the last second their hands switch and they put the infant on their feet and when they walk away they were the infant like shoes…… like my sim will get into bed and woohoo with the infant still at their feet crying. it’s terrifying. i’ve uninstalled all of my mods and cc and this still happens

i wish that instead of infants, they just made newborns infants and then the new life stage was the preteen stage so a child didn't immediately look like an adult upon aging up o-o

It’s not even the pack,it’s the update in general. I have no packs besides seasons and my sims are literally not able to sleep..They always have to take multiple naps😭

I am sad, I have yet to have any of my sims relatives come stay over nor have I met Kyle and I was really looking forward to that. Also I believe that at 12:06 the sims thinking about a family member was a family oriented sim because they will often and very randomly just stop and thnk about a family member.

Don’t know if this happened to anyone else yet but this happened to me I’m personally doing Reno of all the sims charters with CC and such and I was play testing the Kim-Davis family to make sure everything was working and the grandfather (I can’t remember his name) litterally got the paranoid trait not two seconds I stared playing them and then as I was assigning bedrooms the husband and wife duo (again can’t remember there names atm) got a pop up saying they had a jokester relationship and i had them all paused when this happened lol

I wish the bath tub glitch was just “dragon wings” for me. My female infants also have disembodied boobs floating above their heads like some guardian succubus.

I feel like it was just too late the organizing the conversation menu. At this point however many years in I’ve finally gotten a hold on where everything is and now they updated it and I have to relearn what’s in each category.

I played with Kim-Lewis household, aged up the child. Went to create a sim to change her clothes left out and she was completely pitch black with clothes on.😢 So I go back into create a sim to fix her but no, now she's a completely different teen sim. Looking nothing like her parents oh and I've had the spider arms happening too!

I just downloaded the new base game update today and got Growing together, and my first hour of game play was.. interesting. Moved in a family, and all but one of the kids were sad on spawn because they "weren't the favourite", then my neighbour showed up for the Welcome Wagon and she immediately thought my Sim was swell and wanted to be best friends, then she wanted to move in on the same day (thanks, but no thanks!). The day after she wanted to stay over for a while, I accepted because I wanted to check out the feature and she just wouldn't leave for days and would bake white cakes like crazy, they were everywhere. Couldn't get her to leave either because there was no event to cancel. Then I got my Sim a new job and immediately she got the Ambitious trait pop up, I was like what is happening to me? 😂

You can change the sosial menu back too the origonal one
