Nothing ever left. I can speak with your gods. But my job is not dealing with humans, thank god. I didn't want to become a shaman. Why would I want to help humans? I'll plant trees and give food to cats. But what was I saying, oh yeah nothing ever left it just evolved. But yeah I hope I never have to help you people, but obviously you have to do what your told, if they say become a shaman then you have to.

The old ways were forgotten! No only that they were destroyed! If this was 200 yrs ago, all these tribes coming together wouldn't even enter into their minds. The old ways were a fearful time. Now look hard at this vid, children of your tribe celebrating life and the creator with children from a tribe 1000 miles away. How many drummers of different heritage are there in the circle? I can still run in the mountains and leave my footprint where the earth is at peace, just like you. Something's good are being reborn in the wonderful eyes of children and the melancholy hearts of the elders and the mantle that the family leaders must struggle with. Keep it extreme and live with honor👍

How is acknowledging another culture, accepting them and the good in them, their music and dancing and THEIR LAND, anti white? Well? This isn't IRELAND in this video, or her green hills and valleys and gray seas. Personally, I can't get through the strains of "Caoineadh Cu Chulain" on uiellan pipes (bet you got NO clue what that is) without choking up a bit. But soul music is soul music, wherever you're from. Some of us (like Paul), are smart enough, and fair and strong enough, to MULTITASK appreciation for others, and we know it doesn't take away from anyone else. Even if the US was taken from the indigenous here. Clearly, that's not YOU Mia People!

It's politics. Because they know they will rise up as a nation like the phoenix. All indigenous people know this sacred time is coming. So they stay strong and are uniting. Learning their languages and teaching the young. Now, if they could possibly stay out of white men's stores and not buy things that make them sick. Stay strong please. Eat the old type foods that you grow yourselves. There are those nations with money and education to help those less fortunate. Come together. I didn’t understand it but I found myself being comforted by the books in the library, first in high school and middle school. both, secretly sneaking them home. I began to go to as many Pow-Wows as possible, all across the southern south west portion of the United States clear down to Arizona. Nobody cared about the heat… We were one minded in the purpose of celebrating the native American history, knowledge, and joy of being Native American Indian~ FREE - …..IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT! It is Unexplainable the Feelings which take place at a powwow!❣️🌈It’s beyond just saying it’s a connection with a Spirit God, or A reunion of tribes and friends and relatives; it’s greater than saying it’s history reconnecting… It’s nothing you can say with words!’n YOU HAVE TO FEEL IT❣️ YOU HAVE TO EXPERIENCE IT YOURSELF❣️❣️YOU HAVE TO BELIEVE ITS IMPORTANCE & IT’S PURPOSE❣️❣️❣️ YOU HAVE TO WALK THE POW-WOW PATH & DANCE TO TRULY UNDERSTAND❣️❣️❣️❣️ THANK YOU FOR THIS OVERWHELMINGLY BEAUTIFUL VIDEO~ I can’t begin to express the emotions I have right now….Except to tell you that everyone looks so fantastically beautiful and amazing and I was so proud and in tears to see all of the splendor & the history Presented by the thousands that showed up today at your powwow and I couldn’t help but dance with you in my home as you all came in, one-by-one, Chief after Chief, tribe after tribe, Man after Man, Princess after Princess, Mother with her Child, Young Ladies So Proudly Following their Mothers….Such a Such to BEHOLD & REVERE❣️❣️I shall NEVER forget it ~ I SHALL TAKE IT TO MY GRAVE❣️❣️🌈 I THANK YOU❣️

Hi. The PRIDE in their faces. Such a CELEBRATION of culture, shown equally by men & women. I am Asian n live in the South, people ask me what tribe I belong to? I tell them the Mongolian tribe, which includes North American Indians. The drumming is our beautiful HEARTBEAT of this land, which we feel n they are expressing in their dance. Thank you for this video. Peace to you and yours

I could not stop watching (X3) nor did I want to, the sights and sounds conjured up my thoughts of another time ( or the possibility of ) without today's burdens, divide, hate troubles, destruction, and pain, a tribe of many tribes while different but the same yet emerged in one praise, dance and song while to the same beat calling out for the same end from the many different paths. This is a perfect example of the common ground of many world tribes, we must find a common ground not hate and war.

Nehiyew Pwat - Cree Assiniboine (Nakoda). Historically the Nakoda are traditional enemies of the Dakota/Lakota nation (Sioux). Today’s generation and even some older people do not know their history. That is why Alexis calls themselves “Sioux” even though the people they claim membership to are their historical bitter enemies.

Such awesomeness, tru power felt from song and dance. Amazing. Always loved native American culture, being Mexican American we have our roots further south, but over the yrs and experience, one in particular. While befriending the Johnson family from the Onendaga Tribe , at a tattoo convention in Syracuse NY, over a period of 5yrs of tattooing them and their family, and one night while visiting the Rez , Ira (father) was passing me a joint , he said , you know ,you Mexicans are Natives too, we are all cousins. That was awesome to hear.
