12-year-old Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) could've been the most popular kid in Detroit, but his mother's (Taraji P. Henson) latest career move has landed him in China. Dre immediately falls for his classmate Mei Ying - and the feeling is mutual - but cultural differences make such a friendship impossible. Even worse, Dre's feelings make an enemy of the class bully, Cheng. In the land of kung fu, Dre knows only a little karate, and Cheng puts "the karate kid" on the floor with ease. With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), who is secretly a master of kung fu. I’m not big on remakes but this is one of few that hits with the same intensity as the original. I knew when Mr. Han picked the dead fly with his chop sticks from the fly squatter it was going to be good! 😂 Jaden did very well in keeping Daniel LaRusso’s legacy in tact! I made friends with the 'tough' kids in middle school somehow. I was definitely NOT a tough kid. Whenever one of them started to mess with me the biggest guys would step in and tell them to back off. I don't know why, but it's how I survived!

I mean, it depends. A frail adult could get beat. But a man that is in good shape will just be too much due to the strength difference. He could get close, shrug off a hit and just restrain him. Unless he gets kicked in the balls. Trust me, I have done it. A punch from someone much smaller than you can be walked through. Someone with strength like you will make you flinch and back off. But a small guy can't.

Jaden Smith is my favorite actor and he has the best voice and the best personality and he has an incredible voice but I think he’s the only person that I really love him so I don’t think he’s a bad person and he has so many other things that he has done for him but karate kid 🥋 and I don’t know if he’s the one who has to be a little more than a good guy or a bad person but he is a great guy he is very smart he is very kind to people who have a good relationship and I love his kids he has the same passion and I think he’s meiying and he has the most beautiful kids he is a very kind to them he has the sweetest little boy he loves his mom loves his dad he is a great dad and he’s very sweet he is very kind and very sweet and he loves him and he’s a good guy he is very caring he loves him he loves his wife and he’s a good guy he has been with him a good guy 😂😂

All Cheng wanted was for Mei Ying to not get distracted from her studies, so she has a bright and successful future, and for Dre not to pick up the pieces of paper because it was none of his business. Dre could have walked away at any moment, but instead he chose repeated provocation. Props to Cheng for just tripping Dre and not resorting to violence until he absolutely had to. Dre is exactly the person you don't want learning martial arts, the kind who will just start fights for a girl they met 3 minutes ago.

You can’t be this slow. Cheng went over there and threw Mei Ying paper on the ground and Dre was trying to help Mei Ying and then cheng slapped the papers out if Dre hands and Dre picked up the papers again and cheng tried to slap the papers out of Dre hands again but Dre moved his hand and cheng got mad.
