You guys will do great! If there’s something you can’t do, research and UKposts. Electrical, water, etc none of this stuff is as hard as you think. Good luck. Thanks for watching.

On the drains, I recommend that (in a few places) you put flexible unions in the runs. The glued pipe is too rigid and may eventually fail with the motion of the bus. They will provide some stress relief. Also, insulation of the drains that may freeze.

As a former tile contractor in the 70s, I won't critique the build. Right about bldg home in a can, tough job. Anyway liked pan explanation, I could almost hear music as you played violin 🎻 😄 lol. Keep up good work.

The only thing I would like to say is you have a great beautiful family and I can see the beautiful love ❤️ you have for them God bless you all and good Luck 🍀👍 and take care.

Lemon oil furniture polish is what we used to remove final grout film off tile after final rinse dried back in 70s and 80s.

Yeah the radar over Dyersburg looked bad for a while. All of the bad stuff missed us thankfully.

Bathroom looks great, I like how you did black grout, much easier for keeping clean. My dad put himself through college laying tile. He keep doing it on the side after completing his Masters for being a teacher. He taught my brother and I early so we like doing it, but it isn't easy.

WOW! A lot of progress & looking GREAT! Questions; 1- HOW did you tile the shower without spacers? 2- I've seen on several channels (Life Uncontained, Trent & Allie etc) & now yours that you don't do a 45° angle cut for the trim around your windows; is that just a personal preference, something people do differently in certain parts of the U.S. or just bc it's easier/quicker? 3- Wouldn't it be AWESOME if tiling really was THAT fast of a process!?! LOL You made it look so quick & easy. Tiling is DEFINITELY NOT one of my fa favorite things to do. I'm NO pro, just helped my husband on a few jobs & since doing so the amount of respect & appreciation I have for people who tile for a living is WAY UP THERE! I LOVE that when the kids were in the background playing & yelling for Mom that you did NOT edit that out & kept it real. And OMG....those sweet, beautiful faces in the camera....melted my heart! They make it ALL worthwhile don't they!?! You're going to have to run the boys away one day Dad! They're just beautiful! I've been checking in everyday for about a week now waiting for a new video! I've watched you guys since day one & I'm probably just as excited for your journey to begin than y'all are. Well, at least you can see the finish line a little better now! Thank you for sharing your build/life with us! Wishing y'all a MERRY CHRISTMAS!
@briandavis99752 роки тому
Looks great as far as code goes it's your castle build it anyway you want what kind of grout did you use for the tile? Anyway the bus is turning out beautiful.
@shirleymills28052 роки тому
Using my moms account but I noticed you didnt put in a water filter system when connecting the outsude valve and the water tank together .to keep the tank quality high I would recommend it if you plan on getting water from multiple sources
@earlallen21152 роки тому
Did the grout stain the trim around the shower? I've heard lots of people say they hate doing tile work, I don't know, I've never done any. It turned out looking bright and shiny. Anticipating the next episode.

Do you have to take into consideration of the weight of the build? Like how much the chasis can handle? Bc all this wood, tile, sheetrock and additional materials gotta weigh alot
@aubriedavaye2 роки тому
it’s been a while, hope you guys are ok

@slappychap9692 роки тому
That bus is going to so heavy using household building materials. I bet it'll be well over 70,000 pounds. Blowing out tires driving down the road killing everyone. Those tires are rated 15,000 max and if one dually blows from overweight the other is almost always immediately afterwards.
@slappychap9692 роки тому
Just the School buses are built to cary X amount of students weighing no more than 120 pound each. Your HardiBacker is at least three students of weight. That thing is gonna be SUPER dangerously top heavy.. of rather you do it safe than do it by code or by stationary home standards. Mucho love from Orygun.
@loopedlooper83662 роки тому
Don’t forget that when the bus eventually crashes due to being 70,000lbs and the tires blowing out, all of those tiles will immediately transform into throwing stars becoming deadly projectiles putting everyone in the ENTIRE county that you’re driving through at risk. Additionally, any droplets of water still left in the shower head will heat to scalding temperatures and be flung into the eyes of spectators. Tell me you know nothing about skoolie builds without telling me you know nothing about skoolie builds 😂
@cowboyzr22 роки тому
70,000 lbs?? 😂 Tell us you don’t know shit about RV conversions without actually telling us you don’t know shit about RV conversions.
@claireross54962 роки тому
Have you even ever seen a high school football player?? Way more than 120lb defenders, buddy, so not the max. Most buses are rated for 30-50k lbs, so a 3’ tiny tile shower is NOT going to set him over. SMH
