A: I use Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro & After Effects. Photoshop for image editing and thumbnails. Premiere Pro for compositing and After Effects for motion graphics (the fancy animations).

@@DJL3G3NDthe contractor that was hired after the #SaveTf2 movement seems to have slowed or even stopped putting out those small updates that were being pumped out for a few months following valves twitter response which fixed decade old issues like this. I hope they’re not done but the cynical side of me thinks they are.

It even happens in their maps too. The CS:GO map Anubis had terrible performance issues after a recent update, which are now fixed. The cause of the issues, according to people who decompiled the map? Someone accidentally compiled Anubis with one of the optimization VisGroups (the Source equivalent of Photoshop layers) turned off. Oops.

Valve will have no choice but to update TF2 now that the public is aware of this mistake. Their public relations department must be working overtime to keep this situation under control, but at least we can look forward to a new level of transparency from them once they realize something like this must never be allowed to happen again.

Well, you're kind of forgetting cosmetics. All of the scout's body cosmetics are textured to fit with this oversight, so all of their textures would have to be fixed as well. There are community fixes out there, but i don't know if Valve would use them given all the work that would have to go into it.

@@Dillon4599 Still a simple fix, though. And it would only have to be done with cosmetics that are designed to blend with the pants, which really just means pants cosmetics. Hats wouldn't be affected, shirts/jackets more or less wouldn't be affected, any cosmetic that doesn't touch the legs wouldn't have any issues. They're all separate models that are parented to the playermodel.

There's a mod which fixes this (and that ugly shadow texture under demos grenades) (and gives medic and sniper glasses bodygroups so they can properly wear most glasses cosmetics) Valve please add Quick edit: it's a part of the tf2 community fixes pack, valve should REALLY add those

in meet the spy, scouts pants were brown because he was actually the spy all along, however, just like every tf2 player has been for the last 16 years, the disguise was so convincing that the blue team never realised they never removed brown pants from the game because it was actually the red spy all along, he can double jump and run fast like the scout because he is scouts dad

I remember reading once too that Spy's cigarettes are supposed to be brown on Blu team but they either don't work at all or don't show up in first person (disguise kit is still white) I've read too that TF2C fixes it (and Scout's pants) but i haven't played it

In 2007 release of ep2 also has broken features like underwater sound disappeared, combine soldiers pain sounds also disappeared, but latest big uptade for source engine 24 combine soldiers pain sounds has been fixed, but still underwater sound are missing, it's in game files and used only in multiplayers games for some reason, but not in singleplayer, and many other bugs appeared that wasn't in old source engine 7 (2004-2006).

It’s constantly top 10 on steam printing money, what incentive do they have to do anything? Even this new “update” coming out is community assets. Valve doesn’t need to do anything, they’re supplied work, and the hats people give them will go straight into casino boxes that everyone will happily funnel MORE money into and then thank Valve for. Why would Valve ever bother to put any amount of dev time into this game?

@@PhoenixPalmer88 Well considering Half-Life 1 still gets occasional updates, I don't think it's unreasonable to expect TF2 to get the same, despite being "old as fuck", which is a rather poor excuse to neglect something seeing how all of valve games but Alyx are at least a decade old at this point. I just think with all that time they spend not making new games they could spend 10 minutes fixing the games they already made.

Valve only values numbers, and devoting dev time to a game that's already at the top is not viewed as a worthwhile investment to them. If its not servicing the Steam Deck or a very very dear project to someone with pull at the company, its not gonna get touched. Best to just give up hope that Valve does anything in terms of fan service, the good old times are dead at Valve.
