Idea for an SEC Short. Flashback to the 1983. A young boy who is a Georgia, Braves, and Falcons fan (perhaps a young "Uncle Lou" of UKposts lore) is celebrating and insults a lady who turns out to be a witch. She pronounces a curse on his favorite teams saying, "and it shall be the worst kind of curse. Your teams won't be terrible. Instead, they will get to the cusp of the title and you'll think there's no way they could blow it, only to see the other team have an epic comeback to defeat you!" The little boy thinks it's silly but flash forward to 2020 and he remembers what happened. The 1991 World Series with the Braves up 3 games to 2 only to lose twice in extra innings. 2002 13-1 Georgia's only loss is to rival Florida after being up 13-12 after 3 quarters. In 2012 it's the famous Bama comeback and Aaron Murray to Chris Conley short of the end zone SEC championship (essentially national championship) game. In 2017 it's the Falcons 28-3 collapse in Super Bowl 51. In January 2018, it's the famous 2nd and 26 game. In December 2018 it's the famous Jalen Hurts comeback game. In October 2020, Georgia is up 24-17 with less than 1 minute to go in the first half, only to see Bama outscore them 24-0 the rest of the game and blow them out. That very same week, the Braves go up 3-1 in the NLCS and is up 2-0 in Game 5 to close it out. But the Dodgers come back and win games 5, 6, and 7 to break their hearts. You can't tell me there's not a curse on major sports in the state of Georgia.

SEC Shorts has been killin it for years and I'm only just now subbing, I feel so ashamed, almost like UGA after playing Bama,,

UGA alumnus but I appreciate the humor and I laughed. If we can’t laugh at ourselves then we shouldn’t watch football or laugh fans of the teams we beat. SEC Shorts takes shots at everyone and I appreciate that. Well done and man, those Bama receivers are incredible. Only thing I’ll add is Richt was a good coach here a while until like 2009 when we started losing to most of the ranked teams we played. Feel like some people forget his earlier years were rock solid. Nice video and Go Dawgs.
