True story. My wife and I, diehard Bama fans who live in California decided to go to Reno for Christmas. We went to a really nice restaurant on Christmas Eve and my wife was wearing an Eagles Jalen Hurts jersey. The waiter comes to take our order and asks my wife if we’re Eagle fans. She says “no we’re Alabama fans and Jalen Hurts went to Bama”. He looks shocked and then tells us “you’re not going to believe it but I went to Notre Dame” (kind of scary that a ND grad is waiting tables in Reno) then he says “look, I know we’re going to get killed” to which I quickly responded “don’t say that, the game still has to be played and you never know”. He perks up and says “yeah, true, anything can happen”, then he takes our order. After he’s out of earshot I leaned over to my wife and said “they’re going to get killed.”

The invisible girlfriend had me crying, I’m sure most fans didn’t pick up on that 😂

I’m a big Notre Dame guy but this was pretty funny. Everyone needs to have a bit of humor to deal with this past year and our struggles in BCS/Playoff games
