They have now successfully bred a hybrid of a domestic house cat with an African Serval and people are keeping them as pets. They are called Savannah Cats. Problem is cat owners think it's a cool idea at first to get one until they realise how wild the Savannah cat is. They are definitely not low maintenance like a regular domestic cat. They require a TON of attention and you need to safe proof your home because they jump extremely high and break everything. They need a large play area for outdoor time and cannot be left alone more than 4 hours a day. They are extremely intelligent, beautiful and super cool but are only good for a certain kind of owner. Look up some videos on UKposts about them. They are magnificent!!!

I see so many people online with pet serval and I noticed from their houses they all look wealthy. As with all felines they all have different personalities. I have 2 females cats (1 an Arabian Mau never leaves the bedroom) and my room mate has 2 males. They each are so so different. I love my Arabian Mau with her dots and stripes. She cuddles with me everyday and kneads against my tin cage with her head on my bicep. I love her so much.
