The suit has the ability to move on its own with minor restrictions, due to the age of its components. Additionally, the suit has the ability to speak, claiming to be William Afton, the former owner of Afton Robotics. According to reports, Afton was convicted of killing several young children, but was released from incarceration due to a lack of evidence. SCP-****** was discovered by Foundation assets within Fazbear’s Fright: a joint horror attraction in downtown [REDACTED], United States. Amnestics were administered to all parties involved and the facility was burnt down under the cover of an electrical malfunction. SCP-****** was then brought to a nearby Secure Facility and contained. How you came to...”inhabit” that suit? How long have you been in it? *SCP-****:* I don’t even remember what it was like before...THAT’S how long I’ve been in this God-damned suit...[chuckles and coughs] *Taft:* Okay, but you’re didn’t answer the question of how your consciousness came to inhabit the suit. Or were you transformed? *SCP-****:* [ignoring the query] You know, sometimes, the suit still goes off by itse- _SCP-_*_**_*_ suddenly proceeds to straighten upright and move in a manner akin to an animatronic interacting with children before settling back into its chair again._ *SCP-****:* Speak of the devil...[laughs] _SCP-_*_****_*_ laughs for several seconds before abruptly lunging at Taft, knocking both to the ground. SCP-_*_****_*_ is successfully restrained by the guards standing watch and is sent back to its containment cell. Taft suffered several blunt-force traumas to his cranium but will otherwise recover._

Man, the way William is portraid here is just gold. A pure maniac who doesn't even feel the slightest bit of guilt of all the crimes he has done and will gladly continue satisfying his morbid desire of causing more suffering to anyone near him. But is also in so much pain for so much time that he's desperately trying to keep the very few amount of sanity still left within him. Now I kinda wonder what is the cause of William being the monster we all know and love (or hate, depending on the people)

0:42 I know this is weird but I actually love the detail of the distorted crying and the way his mouth hangs open at the end. It really shows how insane he is and how genuinely helpless he feels, like he’s in constant excruciating agony, which he is.

I adore this portrayal of Springtrap, where he was already demented before he died, but now, maddened by constant pain and suffering, and trapped in said suffering forever, he's gone even more insane, to the point that in some twisted way he almost enjoys in. I love these kinds of killer characters, the emotionless ones are hard to not make dull.

Every single Afton SFM video has failed to compare to this one for me. In just under 2 minutes you can hear the agony and insanity of his voice. His burning spite and hatred he has for everything living and dead around him. He was supposed to be a genius above the bars of all others. But he was caught within the proverbial and literal mousetrap of his greatest inventions from the little games he though he was playing. So now he's stuck in an infinite loop of self torture by his own design from pursuits of possible attempted immortality and baser primal instincts like murder. The pure contempt he has in his voice when he mentions how difficult it truly is for him to speak let alone exist. Like all that he has done was neither recognized or even valued. All he hast left of any semblance of pleasure he can get is murder and that hatred that has kept him alive.

I love the addition they added where the suit still sometimes goes off on it's own, would have been so cool for that to happen in the game!

Just the idea of him being “normal” then forcefully going into showtime mode only for him to glitch back to his normal state is amazing

Honestly, this animation is closest to perfection I've ever seen: ~Source Material: As countless others have stated here, the portrayal of Springtrap reminds us that William Afton was a sadistic and coldhearted man. The tone is grimly humorous but mostly serious. ~Visually: The models look great, and the lighting makes Springtrap look even more sinister (especially when the pinpricks of his eyes are the only visible part of his upper face). ~Sound: The background music sets an uneasy tone without getting in the way. The sound effects used are subtle enough that you may not notice them on a first watch (the chair creaking as he leans, his hand banging on or sweeping across the table, etc), but would definitely be missed if they weren't there. ~Animation: The movement is fluid and believable. The interviewer has noticeable reactions to Springtrap (shock, disgust, maybe even a twinge of pity, leaning in when Springtrap is "whispering", etc). Springtrap has small movements that people generally have when speaking, mostly involving his hands, shoulders, and face that just adds a level of realism. ~Dialogue: The script both accurately shows Springtrap's twisted character and natural responses to questions we can piece together ourselves. The delivery is spot on and is easily the best part of this entire animation; the actor nailed the indifference and twisted glee Springtrap has with his past crimes, the struggle to speak through the pain, and acceptance that he's stuck in this goddamn suit for so long, and the raspy laugh adds a delightfully sinister layer of dread in the viewer. Overall, this is the gold standard not just for fan creations, but all animations.

I know a person would bleed out pretty quick in one of those suits, but the thought of someone still in the middle of slowly dying while the suit activates in robot mode and begins forcefully pulling their body into different positions makes it sound so much more horrible than just trying to curl up and die in a still suit.

It was somewhat sad but terrifying when spring Bonnie took over. There’s a murderer inside a child loving happy go lucky rabbit. “Hey kids want a free token? Come give me a big ol h-“ seeing that, makes me sad. But gives me chills

What scares me about murderers or villains is when they seem to show no emotion...when they just stare, telling you there story through eyesight. William is clearly the type of person to laugh in front of you like a maniac..

This is so well done, I just keep rewatching it.

I love that he doesn’t feel bad for everything he’s done. Yeah he feels mopey and bad for himself for being stuck in that rotting suit, but he doesn’t really care about his past actions. I think that’s better than having him regrets all of the killings, and wishing he never did it.

i love this, so creative and the concept of the suit going off by itself is genius. the fact he is being forced to move for a few seconds in that rotting suit must be so uncomfortable, and im here for it. at one point he went from laughing to sobbing for a minute, showing how he’s lost his mind and how out of control he is its shown so well. with parts of dark humour and not regretting what he did makes it hilarious. also when he says “i dont think you appreciate how difficult it is so speak” which is such a cool line, showing every move and word is painful and he’s still in agony but is completely used to it. I LOVE IT.

Bro love the springtrap suit, its so badass and maniac. Also huge props to the voice actor this voice fits perfectly.

It's kinda cool that so many decades later the animatronic itself still functions it still has working code in it and could be used as a normal animatronic again if someone even dares to clean it and put on a new suit on the endoskeleton.

This...was flawless. His movements, his speech, his shifting tone, the lighting, the setting, you even created a perfect mood. You literally captured what made Purple Guy so deranged and sick in the head, yet he was so...collected.
