Richardson is not running, if you really know sprinting you can look at her and see she's not running especially the last 30 meters of the race. Besides The 100 m is her race anyway.

As a former runner in my youth, I would say she’s trusting the process you can’t win every race and you definitely don’t want to get injured in a race that is not as important and isn’t the defining race to reach the Olympics. If she’s to win and she will, if not, she won’t..

This is Olympic year ,the professional want to peak at the right time and not worrying about winning the races they have at hand ,what matters is Trails and Olympics

When Sha’carri is running her best and offering maximum effort, her knee lift is absolutely outstanding. Her knees end up level with her hips at her most efficient stride providing incredible power and spring in each stride. Very few sprinters achieve this level of knee lift at maximum effort. In both the races shown in the video, Sha’carri’s knee lift is nowhere near what her customary level is at which suggests she’s not working at her max potential or effort. My guess is that she’s performing exactly as her coaches want her to and she’s trusting the process. Why wouldn’t she trust her coaches? She’s the defending world champion with a Championship record on her resume thanks to them.

It should be obvious to those that know track that she’s not giving her 100%, with good reason. It’s Olympics season, she wants to peak at the right time, and she’s not the only one doing this

I think Sha is showing up but not showing up. There seems to be a level of secrecy, strategy by the top athletes whether to cover up their ability or weaknesses only time will tell.

I noticed you spoke about a negative wind against Richardson as it wasn't affecting everyone in the race as well.

How about people give some credit to Daryll Neita?

You say in the end “let’s remember she’s training for the Olympics” but then in the beginning, you say something different that suggests she’s falling off

I just think her coach is coaching her well and she's playing possum, and doing what she needs to do to show up for the big stages in a few months when Shacarri Richardson was going all out in the 200m in the preliminary rounds that hindered her in the finals, I just think she's doing what she needs to do and getting better day by day I think she shows up again in the months to come I don't think it's anything to worry about I think she will be fine.

Assuming Gold & Silver for Shericka & Gabby in the Olympic 200m Final, are ppl still expecting Sha'Carri to medal ahead of Elaine, Julien & Dina with everyone at their best?! Well done to both Daryll Neita who won comfortably in her outdoor opener & Akani Simbine who walked down Coleman & Kerley!

I would really appreciate a more in-depth look at the Men's 100m race. That finish from Akani Simbine looked insane.

I think she is just fine. Going through the process of building to a peak for Paris. Plus at this stage of her career 200 is not her strongest race. But she's a phenomenal athlete. She'll still be a major threat leading up to Olympics.

It’s way to early to push the panic button , remember the 200 isn’t her event and she specializes in the 100 meter , anything else is just gravy … building stamina at this point is more important than a simple win. Richardson has talent and she’s the fastest on the planet in the 100 meters.

Kerley has big problems. Sha'Carri too. To me it looks like they both have technical problems.

Sha’Carri said herself last week after losing that she wants to be a 200 sprinter and not be a one race athlete. .I also don’t believe this is a slow track: someone ask Neita who shut it down and could have hit the OLY Q of 22.57. Curious if Sha’Carri did press after this.
@judsdragon
@judsdragon 14 днів тому
looked like she shut it down even sooner in that 2nd race so i dunno if its a mental thing or a training thing where shes just putting in the work without pushing to hard or maybe like u mention the track played a part in it, who knows it could numerous things or nothing

I remember 2012 when SAFP was no where in season opening wherein she was beaten by Allyson Felix and VCB but 2 months later she started winning 100m with just 10.92 and London olympic with 10.75. Three months are left for Olympic so not to worry.
