Shakira is getting candid about life after divorce and being a single mom to her two boys. The music icon, 47, stopped by Apple Music 1 to chat with Zane Lowe in a new interview released on March 20, and she opened up about her new album while also sharing what it's like working hard while taking care of her sons, Milan, 11, and Sasha, 9. Shakira shed some light on the relationship she shares with her boys since her split from their dad, Gerard Piqué, and what it was like to feature them on her new album! The "Hips Don't Lie" songstress also revealed the apple doesn't fall from the tree in her family, as she revealed her eldest son Milan is really into creating music! Shakira and the soccer star, 37, confirmed their separation in June 2022 after 11 years together, and the pop star has been very open about the difficulties she’s faced since their breakup, but she told Zane how she’s making the most out of this challenging time in her life.

It's been 4 years for me since my husband left. I am raising two kids alone. It does not get better or easier-the pain is still here and the loneliness of not having your husband supporting you, not having a partner to raise the kids with-it never gets easy, it's very painful and lonely. And even if you get into a new relationship, it's not the same-because the new guy is not the father of your kids

IMO men who overlap relationships like this have issues and tend to repeat the same Behavior even if they get tamed for sometime and maybe he never was and she just found out, who knows. I know a married man who harasses me despite being married. He started dating her ten years ago. Time makes no difference to men with bad patterns. I actually recently followed a criminal case of a man where he started dating his ex wife right after he divorced his last and even before the divorce proceedings were complete. Then despite having four children. And being married to years for her he then started having an affair. Same story - just way worse outcome. I have seen it over and over and over again. Healthy men fully end previous relationships and frankly if a new woman catches his eye so quickly that he dumps his then girlfriend, don’t you think eventually another woman will also catch his eye? And whether or men or society want to follow what should be done is a diff story but most people should take a break after every relationship and work on themselves and assess what went wrong in their last one before moving onto someone else or you continue the same patterns over and over again. That said very few men in particular do this.

I think it's a process of healing yourself for sure. Cheating is breaking a bond of trust and it doesn't ever truly heal but it rather closes itself up on the person. You forgive what happened without blaming yourself for it. It's the beauty found in time. She has never been alone without being coupled because she felt she needed that. So now it's time for her to learn the deeper value of friendship, she is entering a new chapter in her life. Friendships can come in different shapes and places, even in the form of a new partner down the line. I feel like we've seen it lately, a lot of women who were coupled for a while had to break things up for reasons known or unknown to the public eye, but they found themselves and a person that truly appreciated them soon after. I hope she gets to know herself better and finds her own confidence as an individual again first. We missed her self expression through music so much and I'm sure she missed it as well. So true. Women sacrifice their bodies and their energy while the men are deadbeat dads. That's why I refused to get married. I almost got married once and found out the dude was also talking to other women just before the wedding. How do you still marry someone when you are having multiple affairs with other people. Always tell the truth to your child true!And try to ttell the truth with no hate, anger , frustration words toward the father or mother in front of your chidren I have learn that going throught a messy divorce myself...kids never have to pay for adult issues ! Not always easy but later in the future children will respect you more and won't resent you ! The best decision you take for the safety of your children.

This is not a rule, but it just seems as if you’re setting yourself up for failure if you as a woman choose a male partner who is ten years younger than you. While going through menopause, you’ve got a man beside you who’s nowhere near slowing down. He’s still gross, but we do choose our partners. You have to consider all the factors.
