Regret after someone's passing is extremely powerful. All the things we wish we said to a person but we were too stubborn or too busy to do it really stabs you in the heart. My grandmother passed away from Dementia and my dad called telling me that I should stop by to see her before she passes because we don't know how many more days she has, but I was really busy with work and couldn't make it over. She passed that night and I regret not being there, I regret not being able to tell her I loved her one last time, she might not have remembered me in her final moments on the surface, but I know she was still inside of that shell of a human that Dementia creates and it hurts knowing I couldn't say something one last time. Luckily I have so many amazing memories with her and without her I wouldn't be the man I am today. Those things weigh on you for a really long time and it takes a lot of strength to get passed it.

I still can't believe Kobe is gone and Shaq done lost a lot of people in a short amount of time.. RIP to all of the people that passed away in that accident.

Shaq's comments reminded me of when my grandparents passed and how I wish I could just at least tell them I love you one more time and reminds me that while my parents are still alive, I need to appreciate as much as possible the time I have with them now. Now, this moment, I'm calling my parents to tell them I love them right now. It's something we all should do since we will not always be able to do so.

Shaq needs his flowers while he’s here man…he does so much for kids & his community, he’s been through so much growing up, his sister passing, losing Kobe, etc all that.
