The questions are far from shallow they actually get artists to open up about their experiences, their song-writing, small details that require a good interviewer to elicit those responses. I am honestly so proud of him and how far he has come and i'm excited yet sad to see how much farther he will go. I love him so much and as much as I want him to become more successful I don't because I don't want him to become too famous that it becomes miserable. His music has brought me so much joy and tears and everything about him is amazing. He has definitely changed my life for the better and idk what I would do without him and his amazing music. These interviews are my favorite to listen to. As an aspiring singer-songwriter, there are days where I feel I've failed myself. I put so much pressure on myself to be at a certain point in my career or social life and fail to recognize that I can't let others around me control my future. Watching interviews with artists such as Shawn Mendes, AJR, Camila Cabello, Kelly Clarkson, etc. helps on the stressful days. In the moments where I feel as if I'm failing and my world is falling apart, it's encouraging to see and hear from other people you look up to. I know that everyone who I look up to was in the same position I was in, not knowing what life had in store for them...I know that if they achieved their goals, I can and will achieve mine, I just need to believe.

Just finished watching your first interview with Shawn when he was 15. So happy that he has remained humble, grateful and a beautiful soul despite all the success that has happened since then. He clearly has a great family that raised him well and I also feel he has been surrounded by a great team from the start that keeps him grounded.
