To me, Shawn seemed to have 1 foot into retirement already. He showed no real emotion about the fight being stopped. He was too "ok" with the fight being stopped. It almost felt like his dad didn't really think he could beat Crawford. Had Tyson Furys corner prematurely stopped any fight with Wilder, he never would've won the belt. With Kenny acting that way, Ali never would've had an opportunity to beat Foreman. Bottom line, Kenny was being Kenny. And Shawn is now being Shawn trying to save face and clean it up. He wasn't paying him to be his dad. He was paying him to be his trainer. He was fully aware of what was going on and his trainer should've given him instructions on what adjustments to make in the next round.
