It's called a nightingale floor, and a little research says that it likely wasn't intentional to begin with, but they found it a useful security measure so they made it a feature.

That is an accurate representation of chihuahuas They just take on things so much bigger than them, they dont care. My chihuahua takes on our other dog which is double/triple her size- Also fun fact: Chihuahuas used to guard temples as they were extremely loyal, loud and small. Any intruders would instantly be noticed by the chihuahua, setting off what is basically a living alarm.

@@spdst1nk6932 Actually, Chihuahuas are known for helping act as annoying energetic stamina drainers in hunting pacts against mountain lions from the Toltec days. They have more stamina than larger canines. Although they were commonly used to hunt small vermin, they were efficient in being uncatchable and a nuisance to lions to distract them long enough or to tire them out for the final blow.

I'm pretty sure the first one is because of her insulation. It's very likely made of Vacuum Insulated Panels, which are insanely great at insulation because heat pretty much can't get through those, but the problem with a vacuum is that air really wants to get in. So, when she punctured a hole through the wall (and the vacuum panel behind it), the air rushed inside, which is why her house sounds like it's deflating and the nail looks like it's getting sucked in. (It's Delta P !) EDIT : A lot of people have pointed out that another comment says it's a refrigerant pipe. Possibly with a "There was another TikTok where she explains everything !". I've searched for a while, but I haven't managed to find said TikTok, so unless you have a link that other comment is just as much of a theory as mine (which, you know, I'm not claiming is the absolute truth, just what I think is very likely). But definitely do prove me wrong ! Just do it with more words than "It's a refrigerant pipe, the op is wrong".

I don't think what Daily says is really true. Pigeons are not the smartest animal on the planet and they tend to show courting behaviour towards anything that even slightly resembles another pigeon and I think that's also what is happening here. But yeah in the end it's just a happy pigeon 😂

When I was very young, I read some books on ninjitsu, and there was a whole section on how to cross creaky floors like this! The techniquefor actually walking on them seemed like it would take a lot of time to learn and execute perfectly!

The floor in my house goes a step beyond squeaking. Underneath is there is what I can only assume to be a metal cylinder, due to the noises it makes. If you've ever heard an old hot water cylinder clunking, that's what it sounds like when a certain portion of the hallway is walked through. It's odd, and I have never encountered it before. I'd love to rip up the floor and find out, but I rent, so I can't.

The squeaky floors are called Nightingale Floors!! They're not used in regular houses but in castles of Japanese warlords in the feudal era. In some of them, the faulty steps are spaced out so staff would know which ones to not step on, but an intruder like a ninja/assassin wouldnt, and thus make noise. I've been to that exact location! If I remember correctly theres also closets in some of the meeting rooms where samuri would sit in and hide, just in case things got nasty.

@@maltheri9833 that’s actually not true. Smaller dogs are more of a threat to larger animals like coyotes because they can use their small size to get underneath and easily tear out their throats. I know this because my large dog is absolutely terrified of my neighbors smaller dogs, one of whom even killed a coyote herself by doing what I mentioned earlier
