I'm right there with you man. I'm pretty susceptible to drinking heaaaavily. But lately I've just quit caring and went 100% into music. I'm currently surrounded by a $5000 studio i've built over the last year. It's all I do. I'm still drinking but I have a whole routine set where I punish myself with hardcore workouts any time I am not focused on music. Finding constrast has been interesting too because he is now the closest to the style I want to produce and almost spot on with the type of improv work I plan to do for fun. Just found Contrast today. Was blown away and extremely excited that I have a better template to learn from now.

@@GrayContrast I have the audio of the microfreak fed into the boss 505 with a microphone 🎤, and the audio from the 505 fed into the circuit tracks. But I have the 505 as the main midi out to keep the tempo, fed into the tracks then the tracks is controlling the microfreak as a midi controller.

@@FortuneFromWithin 💯 that's how I do it minus the midi controls from the CT ( because I wanna quickly jump between sounds and play the keyboard 🎹) Do you have the inputs panned Left and right in the lower mixer window in the Circuit? You should to get a stereo signal! I would recommend you render all your Circuit samples and patches around 30% quiter so it's on the same volume as the looper. otherwise I had distortion, clipping and just always the circuit tracks sounds being so much louder than the looper

@@GrayContrast yeah i can still use the microfreak on the fly.. just having the ct controlling it is an option is pretty nice having buttons to press, considering the microfreaks keyboard is a 25 key touch panel... but i switch back as forth jamming live.. you can even have one hand playing the microfreaks keyboard and one hand playing the mircofreak in a different octave through circuit at the same time.. Thank you for the advice! i have noticed the same thing about the tracks.. its much louder than my loops.

@@FortuneFromWithin yeah i think they turned down the input volume because otherwise it would all hit 0db when the input is added just like that and clip. wish they made an "input mode" where all the circuit sounds would get turned down so the input has some room

Hey Garry, ich mag deinen Stuff. Danke dafür. Ich selbst mag das im nächsten Sommer ähnliches machen. Ich arbeite ebenfalls mit dem Circuit( zu dem ich übrigends mit deinem Zug Viedo insperiert wurde), einer Akai force, einem Microfreak, als Boxen habe ich die 310 und die Encore von Jbl.hatte es am Anfang auch mit der rc 505 versucht, war aber dann nicht so mein Workflow. Lange Rede kurzer Sinn :) ich komme aus Marburg und wollte wie gesagt nächsten Sommer in der Stadt auftreten. Istvaber direkt abgelehnt worden. Keine Lautsprecher erlaubt... Was sind denn da deine Erfahrungen in anderen Städtennbzw. wie machst du das? Vielleicht hast du ja lust deine Erfahrungen mit mir zu teilen. Lg Patrick

hey ja sehr cool freut mich alles zu hören im Endeffekt ist Straßenmusik eigentlich nirgendswo legal so richtig außer jetzt Berlin Mauerpark aber sonst halt größtenteils toleriert wo die Polizei die freundlichsten sind und Ordnungsamt in der Regel an unangenehmsten dafür aber auch an seltensten Kontakt mit den hat. ich würde es einfach probieren solange du respektvoll bist und dann auch abbaust wenn du aufgefordert wirst sollte alles klar gehen
