As a Russian living in America, Ive encountered cultural differences, but those are nothing compared to ideological, aka class. America has a much wider class divide. Even though I grew up with people poorer than me (in New England), they come from families who are not working class. They live off Capitalist institutions, and not exactly living off the wealth of their labor. Parasites, in other words. Even their broke Millenial kids have this air of entitlement. Of all the Americans I encountered, the ones I didnt like always had their routes in academia. Despite being on the same economic level as me, or even lower, they have this air of superiority which I can sense even through their rural accents and drmeanor. Theres something about having a diploma and tons of debt that makes someone intolerable.

Snitches are seen not only like people who report about somebody making something wrong, but screaming about every single mistake and make up stuff about rivels and people they just don't like to look good on others background and most of them really are like that.

Stuff like that. First it's true, but then they start to make up stories for their benefit, blame their mistakes on others, because adults believe them more. It's a cultural thing, but still. Before fight get brutal nobody ever gonna report about it. If it's fight one on one kids usually tried to stop it themselves without telling anyone. If many on one and they can't stop it themself it's reported, expect one case, if this one is local snitch, those almost never get help. It teaches children to resolve their conflicts themself. Necessary reporting is understood by class, unnecessary is snitching. Plus they usually teach us try to convince your friends to tell truth themself, if they did something seriously wrong.

Thank goodness I'm not the only one to notice this! I've lived on North Carolina and all the New Yorkers, Bostonians (etc) complain about the state not being like their home city. Yet, everyone else who moves here from other states is okay with it. Lol 😄🇺🇸

@Laxman Tiwari hmmm yeah russha is shabby and corrupt.. People are aggressive and rude in public and there is alot of bad criminal corrupt people.. But yes russians can also be friendly and hospitable and unlike "westerners" they share food togeather, do things togeather as a group for fun ect.. I had great hunting and fishing adventures with russians... Deep into the taiga.. The forest there in siberia. Was fantastic.. Some strangers in canada or australia would never invite you to do this.. In russia you can always be offered food.. Alcohol and cigarettes by people you talk to.. Russians have a hard.. Aggressive exterior with strangers but if they feel they like you they can be nice. Russian people also have a sense of humour that is not restrained by political correct nonsence or bullshit.. Many people also seem to think in the west russians are "racists" but i can say its not at all the case.. Just russians say what they think. There was neonazi groups in russia and the ukraine that would target and kill foreigners and i think this is where these ideas in the west appeared but these people were extremeists.. Something like terrorists who wished in a crude way to overthrow the governmrnt.. Its why somany fought in the 2014 protests in ukraine and why there is still those nazi groups in ukraine.. But in russia they imprisoned most of these people over the last 14 yeard many times on invented charges.... Generally you can say russia is made up of many native ethnic groups with russians being the majority. So russians are well familiar with nonrussian ethnic groups.. But an indian there would stand out.. You might get somebody try to hassle you... Maybe drunks.. but it woukd be very rare.. Mostly people would be curious about you. You should take a trip there in the summer and see the place.. Your grandfather was right in some ways.. In other ways it is shit.. (low wages, criminality, rude, mean aggressive behavior, corrupt incompetent work standards.. Prison inmate like minsets... Ect)
