Max has too many holes in his arguments. Aside from the Jets having the #2 overall pick, they also have the #23 overall pick. The Jets already have a solid left tackle in Mekhi Becton. They can take DeVonta Smith at #2 and take a solid right tackle at #23 - Thereby insuring a solid offensive line AND getting their explosive wide out putting Sam Darnold in a position to succeed and win.

I think they could be able to take Smith at #2, Leatherwood at #23 and Mac Jones in the 2nd round and bring a bunch of young Alabama chemistry to the team. They could even trade Darnold and their 2nd to move up and grab Mac earlier or they can wait to see if he falls that far and then trade Darnold afterwards. Lots of possibilities!

No matter who's the QB your going to have to protect him. They can get a good receiver at the top of the 2nd round. 2 1st round pick get the Alabama or Clemson RB

No they should NOT unless they also hire Sark as OC. NFL defenses are different, the best of the best, with top coaching. GET YOUR OL straight, period. If you cannot protect your QB, you have no argument. Offensive linemen, Defensive linemen are the studs you need to focus on, EVERY team needs to focus on. Skill guys are great, when you have the time to get him the ball from a QB that can get him the ball, based upon the time your OL gives them. The NFL really does SUCK at this, STOP drafting QB's, RB's, and WR's overall when you need LINEMEN. The battle is won in the trenches, period.
