I completely agree with Piers. I actually stand by having different gender identities to identify different people. But this needs to have a rational limit. Adding more and more identities with useless definitions on the list is utterly ridiculous.

I think the problem is that these individuals want to highlight their entire personality with just their gender identity. You can have your sexual preference, your preference in what appearance you want to have, or your characterization separated from "male" and "female" (or any new genders you come up with). The components of your personality don't necessarily need to fit into the category of "gender identity".

This woke bs has gone too far. My 14 year old daughter recently came out to me as a straight girl and asked me if that was ok or of she was weird😢 Lord help us all.

She gave them a little time to discuss among themselves. A harmless question, surely. There have always been tomboys who would have preferred male activities and gender roles. No harm in that, surely. But she never came across a girl who actually thought she was a boy. Everyone in the class would have doubted her sanity. But what was interesting is that the proportion of girls who said they would like to be boys was very high in some years and very low in others. Pupils did not want to go against the majority, or at any rate they wanted to give the same answer as their friends. More healthy, surely, if they thought for themselves. Add another ten years of age, and the psychological ability to think for oneself seems to be extinguished in many individuals.

The whole thing has gotten way out of control. There needs to have a limit set on it. Regardless of what you decide you are - DNA wise for gender, there is only a set for male & a set for female. I think the term "gender" means something different to the two camps. It's unfortunate that kids are getting wrapped up into this, especially considering how easily sexualized "gender" can become. Honestly, though, when I was a little kid, I would pretend to be a dinosaur or a weasel or other such things. I didn't believe I actually was one, but I thought it was fun to imagine what it would be like to be different creatures. I feel like this is similar, just to a bit of an extreme. Also, I COMPLETELY agree with what Piers said and I think it should be way more highlighted. One of the essential roles of a parent is to simplify the complexities of life to a level that a child can comprehend and will bring them to a place of balance and understanding in society. By convoluting their identity and suggesting that other people identify as things they could never comprehend you achieve the complete opposite of that. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure that all of this hundred-gender agenda is perpetrated by people who are confused themselves and don't have kids. I'm raising a daughter who I expect will probably become a tomboy (since I'm into sports and lots of "manly stuff" and the value in masculine hobbies), but I'm going to raise her as a girl and try to mitigate any confusion to the greatest degree possible because I feel that's the healthiest thing for her. And just to throw it out there, I've worked with literally multiple thousands of kids of all ages (4 and up) and gender is not something they should generally be at all concerned about.

there are many things I could touch upon here from the video, but one that I very rarely see discussed in ALL spaces, is two-spirit. There is severe lack of awareness of Indigenous identities and the importance of them in their respective cultures. Two spirit is something that is only applicable to Indigenous people, so to hear it used multiple times in this video to mock the lgbtqia+ community AND in doing so harming Indigenous people and practices is heart-wrenching. Intersectionality is once again needed in this discussion, because of lack of knowledge or representation. I work in the field of anthropology in a museum. I research Indigenous knowledge, history and culture on a broad scale but have done so on more specific areas within this for a few years. Two spirit is included in this. I also find interesting that comment by Nicole "why is this stuff coming up now" when talking about the lgbtqia+ community in an attempt to suggest these intricate and diverse topics of discussion are some new idea that people have made up. I find it interesting because unfortunately it is very misinformed and limited way of viewing the world past and present. Gender identities beyond the binary and sexualities beyond "well-known" have been existed for quite literally, THOUSANDS of years within human AND other animal species. Just because you are unaware of these doesn't mean you get to negate their existence. Did you know the gender binary (And I say this from a position of a researcher) has sufficient and compelling evidence to be a tool or ideal to forcefully use when North America and the Indigenous people were colonized? In simpler terms, I found out, that in addition to other assimilations that were forced onto people (e.g. speaking English, wearing settlers clothing, going to boarding schools, privatisation. The list can go on), limiting gender identity to the binary man and woman was used as a controlling tool. You may have noticed I have not explained what two-spirit IS. This is because I would rather you did your own research and not just take it from me, a random youtube commenter. This is also because I am NOT two spirit or actively part of an Indigenous community, although I have Berber heritage. I am not claiming to be an expert, but I have learnt alot in my work and education that I do, as well as from Indigenous people themselves.

Well, of course children might feel differently at some point, especially when puberty begins, that's how human are: unique in their individuality. This isn't about gender, it's about knowing yourself as a human

Completely agree with Nicole and glad she has the senses in her. Proud she knows there are two sex, and if you like or feel any other way that’s on you, however the whole world does not need to accept 100 gender identities for a small amount of people in the world. We have been Woman and Man since the world was created, if you get offended with the truth, you are the problem. This generation needs to stop being overly sensitive and keep it to the facts.

The fact Benjamin's first words were "I'm a man" and then says "I'm a cis-gendered man" tells you that it's as simple as that. He knows he's a man but chooses to label himself by saying "cis" and always responded with "people identify in different ways" without really backing up his argument. You're either male or female and how you choose to express being male or female through your personality is up to you without making entire identity complicating. Nicole was spot on in saying that it's a vibe, that it does mock genuine trans people who feel they were born in the wrong body and especially when she said that she wanted to be a squirrel but never identified as one. That's called childhood imagination and isn't that deep.
