Always nice to hear a fellow old-school Camry owner singing their praises. It is actually kind of amazing just how well they built them from the early 90s through the 2001 model. It takes some real (lack of) talent to run one into the ground, and not much effort to keep it running like a dream.

Getting a real early Mighty Car Mods vibe from your channel which is cool. I've been watching since you started modding the Camry, and I'm excited to see how much further it goes! The 90's era Toyota's just don't die, dude. I run a 93 Corolla and it still runs strong and chops those Lancers! :D

Just checked out some of your videos, great fun. Love the way your car looks. Briljant!! I drive a XV20 too, 2.2i automatic, '01. Has just passed the 200k km's. Since I bought it nearly seven years ago with 90k km's it never ever let me down, just regular maintenance by the book and normal wear (brake pads, whipers, the odd light bulbs), kept running costs to a minimum. Comfortable, silent, smooth. Rare car overhere, that makes it extra fun to drive it. No plan to part with this legendary car any time soon. Guess even Toyota don't build their car's like these XV20's anymore. Take care and kind regards from the Netherlands.

Ive got a 2.2 camry 1998 and it is a great car. It has never let me down. It gets repaired when it needs it and ive done most work on it myself. Most things that have gone wrong have been to do with the front suspension. I changed both cv axels last week and that has improved the ride no end.

My 03 Camry is still going strong. Good reliable cars. Sure they're boring, but upgrade the stereo, replace the head unit with an Android Auto or CarPlay, get a detail, clay bar and wash the car and you have a nice inoffensive ride. I love Camrys. I'm not in the best financial situation, so having a car that never has issues is great !

I love my 98 Toyota Camry as well. Mine is tan/gold, love the color but they do look better in black, dark gray or white like yours! I had mine for 5 years so far. No problems with it at all, even tho I had a minor car accident with a guy last year. He turned left at the light while I was going straight. I ended up messing up a part of my fenders, headlights and a tire of the passenger side of the Camry. I was without a car for a month while it was getting worked on. Then after that month past by, the Camry was drivable again! It is still running great til this very day. Later on this summer I’m planning on getting a Nissan Altima coupe. Been saving up for a while man can’t wait to get it. I’m still keeping the Camry tho! Really great car to have as a daily, backup or to even pass down to any loved ones! Anyway bro you have the nicest looking old Camry I’ve ever seen. Keep up the good work on that car!

Just caught your video and wanted to say I have a '99 Camry, USA spec with the V6, XLE model. It's been a pretty good car for me, considering it's now over 20 years old. I got it over 7 years ago, so it was already 13 years old at that time. It's had the usual issues, leaky rear valve cover, struts (new KYBs), strut mounts, sway bar endlinks, and sway bar bushings as well as living in the rust belt issues like corroded rear springs and an area of rust on the rear left fender. Also had 2 emission parts go out costing a total of $100 for both, one was a gas tank vent control valve, the other was an EGR sensor. I tend to keep a car in tip top shape, so that I know I can take it anywhere if need be and there will be no worrying! The car would still be driveable even if I didn't replace these parts, but it'd have some rattles, extra bouncing over bumps, some smoking from the engine bay, and a sagging rear end if I didn't, ha!

One of the best Camry's ever made, to this day they're still alive on the roadways. I don't see them much in my area, but in other provinces like Alberta and British Columbia you'll see them there. I got a 2007 Toyota Camry CE, 2AZ-FE with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission fully loaded interior expected for Heated mirrors and heated seats. Basically it's an SE model with a 5 Speed Manual Transmission. Black Leather seats, power SunRoof, SE instrument cluster gauges, and SE silver trim pieces. There's so much aftermarket supports for the 6th Generation Camry's window Louvers, Carbon Fiber interior kit and door handles and bowels. There's even turbo kits for the 2AZ-FE I'm holding onto mine for as long as I can.

My teen car was a 1972 Plymouth Barracuda, from 1978 to 1980. Then I bought a $1,200 used motorcycle and $200 junker cars to pay for college. We gave our son our 2006 V6 RAV4. My advice is to do minimal mods and put the money into more years of college or an apprenticeship. Having a good job in your 40s and 50s is important for many reasons, unless you are a millionaire in your 20s like Jimmy Page or David Gilmour.

In my 5 years of owning a gen 3 (94), my only big issue has been with my tans. Had a code for shift solenoid A, put in new solenoids, still had the code, traced it to the ECM, replaced the ECM (found the capacitors that were prone to leak did in fact leak). And now I get the code when the Overdrive is engaged, so thats infuriating. Overall though, im not too mad, shes been reliable for years and I hope to keep her running. Shes my first yota, and the first car I've ever started modding (currently have a short ram like the one you installed and have done a lot of interior lighting). have plans for the exhaust, coilovers, brakes, and custom fabing a propper CAI using the short ram as a starting point. Id love to snag up an old TRD supercharger kit, but I know it's also only a dream since TRD stopped making it years ago and used ones are ridiculously priced

So far so good. The exterior color of the Camry is called Lunar Mist metallic I just call it Silver. I want to change the dashboard, glove box, console, and heat and AC lights to led light. Had a 1999 camry touring version v6 as my first car and I gotta say those cars are unkillable but the one thing I absolutely cant stand about the car is the turning circle as soon as I started driving other cars I realized just how bad it is, a long wheel base with a fwd setup doesnt help the car and I pretty much had to handbrake turn if I ever needed to do a uie. The one thing the camry's are good at is being the jack of all trades, lots of storage, room and space whilst also not being too barge like handling wise. Good fuel economy but a bit of punch if you need it and the maintenance is so minimal to keep em going good.

Fun fact these were almost as fast as the 2004 year model ford mustang GT. And from 90 to 130 at the rev limiter they actually pull on the mustangs. Don’t ask me how I know 😂

Only issues with my Camry is it’s basically a hovercraft on its 15” mags and stock suspension 😂 and the front bushings have just about kicked it in after 318,000kms of shitty roads

if you wanna lower your car and avoid the rubbing i think you're gonna have invest in some coilovers AND a camber kit. I wanna get some for my 2000 Solara but im scared to mod it lol don't wanna end up ruining the good ride quality and the longevity of other suspension components.. even though my driver side rear strut is blown and clanking lmfao

I have a 2002 Rav4 and it's 17 years old and still going strong. Extremely reliable and super easy to fix as well. The Camry, Corolla, and Rav4 are all based on the exactly same frame and engine design. After Toyota came out with the AWD Camry in 1991, Toyota knew they had put together a super reliable "tank." Eventually that 1991 Camry AWD became the Rav4. If you can find an early Rav4 with the 2.0 liter engine they are super reliable as the first gen. Rav4 have timing belts whereas the second gen. Rav4 use a timing chain. My Rav4 still even has the original exhaust pipes and windshield as well. As well, the serpentine belt can be changed in about 3 hours for the average DIY mechanic. Not a lot of over-engineering and excessive electronics in the 2nd generation Rav4s. Today's cars are just over-engineered pieces of junk that are meant to be disposable in 7~8 years.
