I think it’s more nuanced than just fixture congestion. It’s the number of games over a short period and the fact that again Liverpool have been pushed into the lunchtime slot… that is a statistical fact and whilst we all know it’s because of the TV channels… it’s still a statistical fact that this happens disproportionately… Also, it is often nothing more than a passing comment following a question but the media pick it up, splice it and dice it for consumption of those with short attention spans…

Very easy for them to say "Get on with it". The top clubs have the longest schedules and that means they play the hardest, most intense matches, against the better teams, towards the end of those schedules. Yes, they get highly paid but that doesn't mean they are machines. It would wear anyone down. Add to that the intense scrutiny that is today's reality and the pressure is enormous. So saying "Get on with it" while sitting down in a nice comfy studio, just rings hollow.
