Sims 1 vs Sims 2 vs Sims 3 - Genie's Lamp
A genie's lamp can be used to summon a genie, who can grant your Sim Wishes.
Sims 1
In the Sims 1, the genie lamp was introduced in The Sims: Livin' Large. A genie lamp can be found in buy mode and it costs - A lamp can be cleaned once a day, but several wishes can be made in a day if each one is made from a different lamp. After your Sim rubs the lamp a genie will be summoned. In The Sims 1 you can't wish for whatever you want. The Genie will give your Sim a choice between two wishes. Wishes can be a success, but they can also go wrong, and almost always do.
Sims 2
In The Sims 2: FreeTime, the Gypsy Matchmaker may deliver the Dusty Old Lamp to your door. after you rub the lamp a genie will appear. and he can grant you 3 wishes. Wishes can go wrong, but usually don't. Here are the wishes available: Cheat death, Resurrect a Sim, Wealth, Beauty, Piece of mind and Long Life.
Sims 3
The Genie's lamp returned in Sims 3: Showtime. The Dusty Old Lamp can be found while exploring the catacombs in a graveyard. It may also be obtained after giving a "legendary" stage performance, by traveling through a PlasmaPunch Gyroscopic Conductor's dimensional gate, or It may also be bought for 30,000 Lifetime Happiness points.
After you clean the lamp, a genie will appear. a genie can grant you 3 wishes, but they'll need 12 hours rest between wishes. every wish will be a success, because wishes with negative outcomes no longer exist.
Here are the wishes available: World Peace, Resurrect Sim, More wishes, Love, Large family, Happiness, Fortune, Beauty, Long life, Free the Genie.
If you have Supernatural and also Showtime you can create a genie in CAS. They can be both male and female.
