My dad was coming home but then he got in a car accident on his way home he came home in a casket it's been a month since I seen him alive I miss him everyday of my life he was only 41 but now I gotta be strong for him and thank him for all that he has given me

My mom past away when I was 12... I was coming home from school the day she died and i was stopped by my grandma and older brother before i got inside.. my dad had to tell me that while i was at school my mom passed away in her sleep.. i now hate walking that same path and I couldnt do it for a long time. It's almost been 6 years.. I made it through high school and will soon go to college.. I've not seen my dad in forever. When he came home 5 years ago this music plays. When Veterans Day came... there was one soldier missing , my dad, my mom hided the fact that we lost our king. When she finally told me as I'm waiting by the door step looking for dad. I had a complete melt down. This song reminds me of the kind man he was and how he fought for people. I pray and tell god to tell him we would always remember him and love him. I wish this never happened but sadly there's nothing to bring him back now. I love him and he will always be in my heart. My son was a MP in the Army for 12 years. He was deployed many times-the last 3 were in Iraq. He never completed his 3rd tour. Wars don’t make any sense to me. Men in suits decide to have a war. They send our children, husbands, wives, mom’s, dad’s...our loved ones to fight that war they planned. May God continue to watch over all of our troops, and keep them safe...

This song makes me think of my uncle. He was in the army. He was there for about a year and, sadly, never came back. He died when I was three. This song makes me think about him because he played the piano very well. I hope war ends soon, I want peace. "Make peace and love, not war and hate" as my uncle would say. Rest In Peace to my uncle and any brave and noble men and women who sacrificed their lives in order to protect our and other countries and try to make peace in this world. Thank you. The guys that come home and are left with themselves and the experiences they've brought back with them. An eye opening reality for some who come home. But hey, that's just me.

I was in Afghanistan as an Army contractor (I'm a vet as well) and heard this song for the first time when I was there sitting at the air terminal in Marmal. It definitely hit me in the heart. That was in 2011 and hearing it again takes me right back there. It's weird how songs can do that.

This song is dedicated to the men and women who have served. leaving there family's, homes and even children. to serve there country. So please, lets have a moment of silence for the brave men and women who never came home.
