Dear Kneesovertoesguy, Hello, warm greetings from Seoul, South Korea. My name is Sehyuk Oh and I am in my early 30s. I am a huge fan of your channel and of course your mindset. Huge thanks to your videos, I was able to work on my hip mobility, finally being able to properly do a weighted squat in full range of motion for the first time, I also wish to dunk within 10 years. On that note, I was wondering if you could make a video on goosefoot pain. The pain sparks up and stays with me for nearly up to a week only when I play basketball, especially when I try to go into my jump shot (only on my left knee, I am right handed). I do not have any problems when I squat or lunge in the gym, especially when I warm up with your routines, focusing on my mobility. However, most of basketball shooters do not go into their jumpshot like they are squatting in the gym especially, off the dribble. Their legs tend to cave in more, like the defensive stance that you have mentioned in the other video with the NFL player, sorry I forgot his name. Basketball is the single most passion in my life, and I really wish to play basketball well into my 60s. I wonder how I can strengthen and treat the goosefoot pain so that I do not feel pain every time I play basketball. I did not have to deal with this until a few months ago, so this is relatively new to me. The pain do seem to ease when I do the reverse treadmill walks but I have already have been trying to treat this pain with that and with your other routines since last December. I wake up at 5 a.m. hit the gym and go to work everyday on weekdays and try to sleep 8 hours everyday for recovery. I only play basketball once a week, mostly on Saturdays. I really wish to make my tendons (knees? more like upper inside shin bone but yeah) normal again. Sincerely, Sehyuk Oh

Thanks for reaching out and would love to help you address this and get back on the court pain-free! Reverse sled is always a great start and glad that works well! I would also make sure you are building ability from the ground up. Training the tibialis raise will be the first line of defense for our knee. Stronger we are here, less likely we will have unwanted force going up to the knee. I would checkout this zero equipment routine. Starting this could lead you in the right direction: 8-Step Zero Equipment Workout From The Ground Up ukposts.infoNmL_Lj0ZcdY?feature=share Would love to coach you through this as well! Have you ever thought about working with Leonard Johnson to make a professional grade, foot shaped football/lacrosse cleat? That would be game-changer because all the foot shaped cleat options I see are either poor quality or over 300$. If you made it stiff but flexible in the toe area to allow for big toe flexibility too, you would save a lot of football athletes injuries as well as pain from toe crowding, shoe tightness and over-stifness.

Ben, I have an issue with my Achilles since my mid-20's that doctors haven't been able to figure out. Could be related to all of my joints, really but most obvious pain is the heels when they get stretched too much. I've even had to switch shoes I wear to stuff that won't rub up against them too much (clog style for dress or very soft fabric heels like ultraknit reeboks). Do you think this slantboard squat device would eventually help me get over that or just exacerbate the issue? I stopped doing rowing because the up and down strain on my Achilles was too much everytime I lifted my heels on the up-row.
@cherryl225

Do you let all of your equipment get rained on all the time?
@TheKneesovertoesguy
@TheKneesovertoesguy 12 днів тому
Yep. I started training outside during pandemic while building my garage gym, only to realize I love training outside. Letting my equipment (all of which I make) get rained on is far cheaper than a studio or having a film person. I film myself from my iPhone. And I love being outside and training outside. Working out is AWESOME. But shoots take a lot longer than just working out. That’s more hours than I want to be sitting in my garage. I’ve tried it outside, garage, and in-gym, and this is what I like. I also have zero ad spend. And sell thousands of pieces of equipment per month. So as “marketing budget” even if I ruin some stuff outside, it’s a tiny fraction of what competitors pay on ads to Facebook. I’m also working on weatherproofing items which I think others may enjoy outside. Make sense?
