@@stanley4290 At that scale, having more parasitic loss isn't optimal. Sounds like it needs more aggressive cams already. Also, a better intake and exhaust systems.

@@ahyaan2552 well there's some truth to what he says though:) I noticed the same on the recent warped perception Harley V-engine video. The length of the headers will not change the sound of these engines much. Sure the volume will be different, but the thing people talk about when they say "equal length headers" does not apply here, since overall length of the exhaust pulses to travel at the speed of sound is so short, it will not change the timing of how they arrive at your ear much (unlike in a big engine)

Definitely. Flywheels in GM and Ford still have Mechanical issues. Chrysler and Mopar's I have "SIX" (6) DETROYED Flex plates on a 1970 Plymouth Cuda. A 340-Low Quad Carter Carburetor. 727 Transmission and Dana rear-end. Had to COVERT to a Stall Torque Convertor. Had to Machine a Harmonic balancer. 340 "JUNK" motor. Prefer a 383, 426 Hemi and 440 Police Interceptor Motors.

Finally, they did not make separate carburetors for each cylinder. Looks much better now, just like a smaller version of a real V8 motor

I’d prefer a wet sump, oil pump and oil fed cams. The grease on the cam lobes and bearings seems a bit iffy to me. Also if it has a coil, spark plugs and ran on petrol, I’d find that royally amazing. I can’t wait to see what this is going to be put into!

Yes 100-percent with that extra rings petrol is the way to go with oil pump spark ignition it would sound so much different than this glow plug engine which is difficult to determine even from a 4-cylinder

Would be cool to see what lightened and higher tolerances parts ect would do to the engine. See if you can get it into cosworth DFV territory with regards to RPM. Around 12000. That would be so sick

@@Cerberus984 you can use a all wheel drive platform and use the v8 for the rear wheels and add the electric motor in the front with a clutch. That way the electric motor can be used for acceleration and can be uncoupled at higher speeds.

Another great video! My engineering mind has trouble though with some of the choices and tolerances made from the factory. You've got to get a fan on that radiator to dissipate all the heat it's drawing from the engine.

Very cool... the price is hard to swallow, though, considering you can get a full size 1:1 V8 for that. I know that this is something you buy because you're into miniatures and as far as most mini V8's, this is very affordable, but... I wish I had the level of disposable income needed to not feel incredibly bad after buying something like this.

It will make power but it's really more about the look, sound and cool factor IMO. At $1800 USD for the engine kit + $300 USD for the starter it's very pricey and not something I would buy if I was after performance.

At the same weight, a nitro single cylinder two stroke will make a ton more power, be more reliable and cost way less. This is about looks more than anything.

this is a 28cc v8, the cylinders are absolutely minuscule so i can tell you it probably makes next to no torque, if you try to get it to pull any substantial amount of weight it's probably going to start choking. it needs to rev super high to make any power. a monocylinder of the same displacement is going to make more torque i think, i mean about twice the displacement (still not a lot) with a mono is enough to propel a scooter reliably.

You can definitely improve that cooling system. The piping is way too small it's barely going to carry any heat away from important areas and you can see where it's foaming or boiling too

Are there boxer engines like this? Like Ej20 or H6? I really appreciate your videos and I would love to see any boxer engines. Also you are making anything seem so simple and that is a sign of great skill :) I have only ever owned Subarus and have no experience with other engines and systems, but I understand how most things work thanks to many hours with my mechanic uncle (:

I have a very hard time believing that standard size fuel tubing is wide enough to handle the necessary coolant flow for anything else than a bit of unloaded demo running... I don't think this engine will be able to handle functional load.
