I don’t see the „Notebook arc“ as I’ll call it as Mario’s villain arc, but as Marty’s. Since Mario also wasn’t really making decisions for himself he also won’t learn anything from it. So yeah … Mario character development is still just a tiny speck on a massive horizon…

Those adventures in Sunset Paradise didn't fix Meggy, they just made her worse than before.

@@ZTguyyyy This series only brought us a cheap story of why Meggy was annoying in SMG4 yes and I mean a supposed dark Meggy besides that series all it did was make Meggy become even more obsessive with her goals, alienating her closest friends believing that she can do it alone when in reality it was thanks to her friends that she won the Splatfest plus all her development with an arc, and its spin off series was to no avail.
