Snap shot of a running boar out of a kayak

7 років томуThis is the uncut version of one of my best shots that I thought I didn't video as I thought that I turned off the camera just before I shot. As it turns out I not only captured the shot but also the lead up to this straight after shooting another boar only a 100m away from this bloke. You can see that I didn't notice this second boar until I was right on him. No doubt he was watching me as I reckon I would have woken him up when I shot the prior boar only 100m away and in full view!

Thanks mate yes I had only just shot a pig on the right bank which probs woke this boar up but he didn't run off until I started paddling toward him. I didn't realise he was there either until I checked in the scope. Lucky shot mate.

Daniel it isn't the pig that is making the noise it was Galahs up in the tree. I also thought that it was the pig when I saw the video but that guy was dead as a door nail and it was the birds making that noise. It does sound like a dying pig though.

These pigs are a pest and feral to Australia. However, they are sold for meat especially in Germany. I very rarely eat them though.

Germany is the biggest buyer of feral pigs. WGR (Western Game Resource) sell wild pigs overseas almost exclusively to Germany as they love the gamey taste. In fact the Germans will not buy the Aussie boar during the wheat harvest season and the wild pigs in some areas feed on the grain losing some gamey taste in them so the Germans won't buy them during the harvest season.

Yes I should make them longer but often when I am out hunting I don't turn the camera on until the action starts.

Mate, I really only have a couple of working firearms. The rifle is my Ruger MK11 in 30/06 and the shotty is my lever action as seen in the Terminator movie.

Yea my AR-15 has a BCM free float with a fluted barrel and a BCM trigger. The savage is is a beast brother really gets out there for sure.

Thanks mate. I have had this rifle for over 20 years. It is a workhorse and it does get scratched up and muddy but that just ads character to her woodwork.

Stu Laughton it's beautiful I have a ruger scout rifle and I'm glad I can look forward to some years together, if you ever hang up your old girl I'd recommend a ruger gsr as a replacement especially since it is short and light in a kayak lol thanks for the videos bud

I have a mate who uses a Ruger Scout, nice sturdy rifle. I have always liked the Sako 85 Hunter rifles but the ruger is shooting just fine so I might just keep her for a few more seasons.

We just tightened the laws so that if you want a semi auto you have to be a farmer or have a pro shooters license.
