As somebody who works in customer service, moments like the one at 15:50 REALLY get under my skin. Managers should ALWAYS take the side of their colleagues and hold up the policies, no matter what the customer is acting like. 17:02 Had a very similar situation. A lady came through the drive thru and had ordered a number 1, I had asked her if she wanted Rootbeer(since it’s one of our common drinks) and fries. Which she responded, “yes the fries, no the drink.” Which I was thinking she wanted no drink, and had asked “okay, so no drink?” “Yes, I want a drink but I don’t want rootbeer.” Which you could tell she was getting a bit upset by being so this. Which I was getting a little annoyed by this old lady, so I asked “okay, what would you want?” “Anything but rootbeer,” “Okay, but what would you want then?” “A water would be fine” she could’ve easily just said that, and I had to ask if she wanted in it a cup or a bottle, which she said a cup. I told her total, and she drove without saying anything. I already had a feeling she was going to throw a fit about something with order, so I told my brother who was collecting. Which he thoug her nothing about it, and laughed it off. Of course when she rolled up to the window, and tried the water. She said “I don’t like this, give me something else.” Which bro had to charge to ask if she wanted anything, she asked if they had any diet. What we had was diet rootbeer and Diet Pepsi, this of course upset her and asked in a snotty way “that’s all??” And bro had nodded, which I could tell he was getting annoyed by her. He asked if she wanted a bottled water, but we would have to charge you for it. Which she responded “you guys charge for bottled water?” Listen bitch, we have a policy about our bottled water, and they ain’t cheap. He had said, and finally she said “just give me a rootbeer.” We didn’t charge her for the drink, since we had no manger or supervisor around that time. But that immediately brought our afternoon down.
